a bad case of googly eyes

after looking around for i know im going have to get down and dirty, is there a step by step guide out there on how to fix this issue using cs or can someone add little more depth to the methods expand in following archives?

There is no step-by-step that I'm aware of. Also you need to provide a bit more details in exactly which MODs and races you are experiencing this with. You'll need that information anyways if you actually plan on fixing this.

 

Usually it happens when you use the older versions of MBP, best to use the OMOD version as it is the least problematic for most noobies.

 

Next, if you also are trying to install XEO, this again may change the paths to eye textures for some races, due to them using differing eye nif models. First make sure to follow the XEO installation and setup instructions on that page to the letter. Any missed or skipped steps can lead to issues.

 

And last, in CS you would need to find which of the MODs, based on which races you are having issues with, so you can edit the path for the eye nif model or textures. 

 

Click on Character in the top menu bar, then select Race...

 

A new Race window will open and you need to navigate or scroll to the race or races that are at issue. Once there select the Face data tab. At the very bottom are the eye nif model paths for that race.

 

 

 

 

Some races use the same eye nif model, so once you fix one, others that use that same model will also be fixed.

ah, sorry about that i forgot to add that part about xeo and mbp, both i used the aio omod(for mbp) i found here and follow everything to the t for xeo i found here http://www.loverslab.com/topic/9-xeo-archived-posts/ i'm running xeorc4, so far i have some with few tips found laying around on here and nexus and somethings i tried myself like using the batch patch tweaks for grouping similar eyes to fix a bit of the issue ill try using nifskope (and cs again) let me know if you need my load order even thought i don't think a load out issue.

thanks you two ill get to turning off XeoRC4 (if not out right get rid of it) just one more thing to ask dose xeo 5 have any problems with mbp? as i know i have it and don't want to go looking around for another copy of xeosp++.

you might just have a conflict with mbp.esm  and  ElaborateEyes-RensBeautyPackFull.esp

 

and a bash patch  you can not just uncheck the mod you need also to redo a bash patch

edit: still getting the the eyes even after turning off both elaorate eyes mods and taking them out of the bash patch. a part me is starting to think its has to with Trokturian Cow.esp as it seems to only happening to some "custom" races or altered versions of the vanilla races (imperial 3 and child, lolita, eta) heres my load out as be on the safe side.

well as im a "lazy as all hell" it would make life easier if someone posted a ideal load order that i can copy paste in nmm (ya just found this not long ago but just copying and pasting a load order with just GameMode=Oblivion or what ever game at the top and it will order as is per the clipboard or even text doc a lot more clean then using boss or loot) but i know the example load out all too well and  even used it as to fix things via nmm's import from clipboard feature,  for now ill try turning the listed mods off for now update edit: turned off said mods and a lot of the eyes are working again but now there are are ones that are not only googly but are missing(can see the other side via character creation) or have to no textures(black eyes) and to add to this some have eye and head proportion issues (eyes are are too far down in the head and such or the head clips the hair because it so big or even you can see some of the fangs or such) and while not too big of issue there seems to a race missing forgot the name ill get back on the name another time

Your LO is going to be different from just about everyone elses, totally dependent on which MODs you've installed. Near impossible to post something that you can just cut & paste. Very few here use NMM, I certainly don't.

1. For those with the remaining eye issues I suggest making a complete list of them. (Make sure you've rebuilt your bashed patch too!!!)

2. Review your Oblivion directory for missing or incorrectly located nifs and textures; they may be there just in the wrong place.

3. Then, and only after you've run a directory search for the missing nifs/textures, should you start a review via CS and possibly Nifskope, making any needed changes. (This is a last ditched effort to get things working and not recommended as you will no longer be compatible with the originating MOD.)

 

As far as the eye placement, head sizing, etc I'm assuming you are reviewing and seeing this in CS. That is perfectly normal for the x117 races. If you go to the full body view in CS you'll see they look normal.

 

I'd also strongly suggest reading through all of the posts in this thread as there is useful info there and it may provide insight into your issues as well: Mbp ++ allin1 omod v2.1beta

 

I'm no longer using XEO due to it's incompatibility with some MODs, so no help there.

There is an example LO right here!: Example Load order (And just a personal note, being "lazy as all hell" ain't gonna cut it in Oblivion.) Moving on...

 

Your LO is going to be different from just about everyone elses, totally dependent on which MODs you've installed. Near impossible to post something that you can just cut & paste. Very few here use NMM, I certainly don't.

thanks for your current load order templet (as for the lazy as all hell part i forgot to add it was meant to be read as stupied/thick but still your point still stands....) ill get a list going right now on what race has problems so someone can give out pointers on to fix them, as for the link ill read the thread again as there something i may of looked over at the time

do you know how to use CS and making a file.esp  or fixing      if yes   than tes4edit is far more easier and faster  and you will get it to a good use very fast 

 

i do not know of any tutorials for it

  you are asking if someone could spend his time to fixe about 40 mods  that he might never heard about or has no interrest   to your game especialy.     (but there is a lot of exotic mods that could be fixed and a lot of people that want a mod to work with an other and they are not willing to spend time to do it them self)

 

here we try to help people to fixe issues  or to find a way to fixe issues  and some times we share our work (made for our own use)

 

now you have your answear to your issues you know what need to be done   it is up to you  to learn the tools to do the job you want.

 

there is no simple task and modder were not born with CS knowlege

no worry's i understand, just keep in mind im not a modder so doing things by hand (other then say changing the path cs or using the auto clean in tes4edit) seems off putting and you being rude? maybe its the autism or maybe i have thick sikn but i just see it as you pointing out the facts anyways if anything is more breaking the mod im more worred about then making the problem worse and have to start from a clean copy again if i head a guide or helping hand i may be able to do it myself (knowing that block/cell/whatever to get ride of and such) i know you all are busy people so i will never ask that much of you do it for me but something is better then nothing right?

i was hoping my post was deleted as i am just pesting (too late)          This is the only way i know doing things by hand with CS  or tes4edit       there is no secret tools that i am aware of    ( you need time and testing to understand the use )   here an other guide just looked with google http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/tutorials/article/20-cs-basics-guest-workshop-1/ (it is CS logic)      for tes4edit i never do an auto clean i use it like CS  and more as i merge files with (when there is no scripts)  more often to an esm

and i am not using bash as i can controle more easily what i am doing

 

modder or not modder anyway you will break the game in a way or another  as you add more mods you will have more and more conflicts  and crashes  (load order, incopatible esp, file conflicts, files missings, bad save bad ini tweaks etc...) the only thing to do is to make a backup (iso image) of you last stable and working game with the basic mods that you will never remove   than play with the tools and try to make a better oblivion  and when you find your best oblivion install you make a backup  (doing so you pass to the other side of the mirror)

That is one heck of a long list of race issues. Were it me, I'd back step a bit by first removing anything related to XEO, including purging any and all ESMs/ESMs nifs and textures related to your prior XEO installs.

 

Next, I'd put all of my focus on getting MBP++ working 100%. This is inline with what kingkong is suggesting too I feel; based on the extensive MOD list you have installed some personal customization will be required on your part, but more on that at a later date.

 

Focus on MBP++ first, inline with what MODs you have installed, some of which may need to either be for now temporarily disabled and later customized to work 100% correctly for your unique Oblivion build. Once you accomplish that, only then should you proceed to expand to use XEO.

 

I feel you are trying to chew the entire elephant, without knowing the size or complexity of it. Your desired Oblivion build would give even a veteran of Oblivion nightmares.
