Lights. Camera. Lose the wardrobe.

 

HL_PornStar is a complete adult film active career for The Sims 4, built on the acting-gig system: audition for roles, land the shoot, and travel to a fully working studio set — cameras, lights, crew, stylists, a director… and your co-star, cast just for you.

 

A real workday on set: go through hair & makeup, pick up your costume at wardrobe, tell the director you're ready — and then hit the stage marks. Each glowing mark offers a different scene. Your co-star takes their place, the cameras roll, and the scene plays out as a WickedWhims scene right on the mark, with stage-by-stage narration while it plays and a clean "that's a cut!" ending — objective completed, performance paid, costume back on. Climb five levels, from Background Extra to XXX Superstar.

 

The scenes are cast from your own WickedWhims animation library, matched to the pair in front of the camera. The more (on-floor) animation packs you have, the more the director has to work with.

 

Requirements: The Sims 4 + Get Famous (required — the studio set and the acting-gig machinery come from that pack). WickedWhims by TURBODRIVER strongly recommended (not included): the career and the shoots work without it, but the scenes are the point.

Language: English + Spanish built in.

Install: unzip into Mods/HL_PornStar/. Enable Script Mods. Delete localthumbcache.package if anything looks stale.

Doent work for me. Of course requirements are satisfied but no, it refuses to work: sim can see the job, obtains the job but cannot update offers.

[HL_PornStar] Couldn't install the auto-seed alarm (the `actor.audition` cheat remains) (AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'time_service')

Is there any way to fix this?

Hi everyone, sorry about the file size. Perhaps some assets were left uncompressed, but you can scan the code safely as it contains no injections or malicious code. Maybe the file size is a bit rough due to haste, as I'm not sure if it's a lot or a little. I'll try to resolve any reported bugs as quickly as possible since the mod is relatively new.

ok first thing ive noticed at first glance is when you choose the career there is no start time, ie work in so many "hours" or in so many "days" etc and you cant check open auditions, when you click on it nothing happens so you cant go to work or audition as it stands, also after a few minuets of play or a menu change like view worlds or cas it breaks the UI entirely of that sim and any other sim in that household, you can no longer click on the work icon and open the menu on the bottom right of the screen, this is all ive come across so far and of course it can depend on the mods im using that may or may not have affected it but hope any of this helps.

 

extra finds: check for gigs is missing from the phone in the business part along with hire a new acting agency, my sim in a normal acting job has the features there but the sim in porn career has them all missing, and if you quit the job and chose it again once, twice or few times the same sim get entirely different acting options, like background actor or star performer and some others i cant remember, for the same sim the job offer should always be the same, it should only change for other sims depending on their skill sets, hope i havent overwhelmed you just trying to provide as much info as i can for you

Same things for me, minus the difference of me actually going for an interview to a rabbit hole after picking the job.  Immediately following the job, I had a go to gig window pop up, so I went.  Everything appeared to go as I expected.  It ended and I got paid.  From that point everything I quoted has been the same.  select a gig is gone from phone and I'm unable to open the work icon.  I quit the job, saved, and went back in and still was unable to open the work icon.  Only removing the mod fixed that issue.

well you got further than i did i didnt even get the rabbit hole or get paid  lol hes aware now think so he'll look at fixing those issues, the more details we can give will only help solve the problems faster

The mod was working fine for me at the beginning, but after the first gig, I got promoted to "Featured Performer," and then no more gigs appeared for my Sim.

Put in the update.  the job icon opens now on the UI like it should.  I was able to get a sim to apply for job and pick a talent agency.  Nothing after that.  Have waited 3 sims days for a gig/audition to show up, but nothing.

Hi just wanted to let you know I downloaded the mod for the first time Monday after you had updated it.The job control panel was a little wonky as it wouldn't scroll all the way down.Which was ok but after getting the first audition its now broken and wont even pop up.

this doesn't work for me. I installed in and I see it in the career section. I pick it for a job but then I can't do anything with it after that

Still unable to choose a gig

Career just disappears and sim is unemployed on loading into game with the update. The same behaviour also happens in game possibly when traveling to other locations (autosave?) career seems not to be captured when saving game.

Further to the above post the career dropping off is not related to saves it just happens after a few game hours. If you re-jointhe career the talent agency is greyed out because you are already registered with one of them but the daily tasks are reset with no prior completion remembered. The next gig date is also reset to 3 days later. As such it is impossible to actually do a gig as the date is constantly pushed 3 days forwards every few game hours.

Why does all my sims wear random situation outfits after sex when i install this mod? I could just load in a game, they have sex, and after finishing they always wear random situation outfits

The mod downloaded in Spanish, not sure how to change that. Also having similar issues where I start the career and nothing else happens.

all my previous reported issues appeared to have been fixed, at least for me, successful trial just now, just 2 things i noticed i wonder if you could clear up. 1) all my notifications are now in spanish, 2) everyone on the film set was female so no males at all not even crew, thats pretty much it.

2 prep tasks seem to be a little bugged can also confirm a random outfit bug that others have also mentioned.

Well, everything is working for me; I can find more shows on my phone.

The only issue is the short duration of the scene animations—they cut off abruptly—and also the progress tracking; even after completing all the tasks, it still shows as only halfway done.
