Has anyone come across an issue where you can't move bodies around? I searched it and found "realistic ragdolls and force" was a possible fix but it didn't work for me. Just curious if anyone else has had that problem before I go and start a new game and try to enable 140 esps one by one to see what is making that happen.

Isn't this already included in XPMSE?

Sure, this has been a thing in Skyrim since the pre-LE days a decade ago. As far as I know it's a skeleton issue. It also depends on where you're grabbing the ragdoll: usually the torso is the best place to grab.

ohh I checked the comments on nexus and found yes it totally is part of xpmse I didnt realize that, it was just a recommended fix. I didnt know it was a thing for a long time I'm newish to skyrim in general I did one play through earlier this year then discovered all the mods through random videos. It's like the pelvis is glued to the ground. Grabbing the torso doesnt move at all but grabbing like by the head the upper body will bend but not move. Ok if its been an issue for a long time I wont worry about it. Thank you!

That issue specifically is new, I haven't seen that before except for in situations where the ragdoll has clipped into the ground. One corpse that does this to me about half the time I see it is the Thalmor at the shrine to Talos between Riverwood and Falkreath. He's got his dick stuck between the rocks.

The issue I was talking about actually started with XPMSE back in the day. Installing that skeleton made corpses impossible to move around.

If I were you, I would do the following:

  1. Get More Informative Console.
  2. Find a corpse that can't be moved.
  3. Open the console and select the corpse.
  4. Use MIC to find the skeleton mesh file name associated with the corpse's RACE record.
  5. Query your mod manager for which mod is providing this skeleton mesh and make sure it is a recent version of XPMSE.
  6. Download and install the old Realistic Ragdolls and Forces mod.
  7. Open your entire load order, including the old mod in xEdit.
  8. Find where this old mod is changing the grip force (which it claims to do) and see which other mods you have that change this value.
  9. Merge the value from the old mod to whichever mod was previously winning the conflict, then remove Realistic Ragdolls and Forces (the old mod).
  10. Test again.

this may be beyond my skill since I only started modding a couple months ago but I did manage to use sseedit to put keywords on armors so I'll try these steps on a new game and see what happens lol thank you!
