redfoxx01 Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 Hi I'm new to moding in trying to make a NSFW game for fallout 4 so I'm hoping can someone please give me a link to how do I get AAF to work in vortex please... I have been trying to follow the The Fucking Manual but I just seem to not get it work...
deff. Posted August 12, 2025 Posted August 12, 2025 I believe that in Vortex it's a little bit tricky if you are new to all this. Maybe try to switch to MO2....then just follow the manual. 1
honnorboss Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 I cannot recommend NOT using vortex enough. It causes so many issues and many mods simply do not work with it. Use mod organizer 2 for every game that you can, and try and find just about any alternative to vortex for the games that mod organizer does not support. 1
GenocidalPenguin420 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I personally use vortex mods and it can be a mess But the rule of thumb is the following. Main mod<~~~~ aaf Before uap Aaf basic loads in by itself so you are fine. Add-ons<~~~~uap before Animations Animations<~~~~~~bp, cabbage etc. after uap if it pops up. Never before with the manage rules with With manage rules. Just use loot to make the mods sorted in the load
Blastik1 Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I had loads of issues updating "Wicked Whims" for the Sims last year, I kept getting errors and messages about files that didn't exist in my Sims mod folder etc, then I realised that I had the mod on Vortex as well as a manually installed version...got rid of the Vortex version and everything was fine. I still use Vortex, but for core/base mods, I like to install and manage them myself now. Vortex has its uses, but for me, important base mods are best managed manually.
