Since there is no documentation on importing models into these games (or at least I haven't found it) I've had to try programs on my own, but yes, from what I've tried so far, it should be possible. 1

It's really just the lack of interest for why this game has no mods. I could do it myself but I have my hands full with other (Pokemon) games. 2
