Bartending Broken?

I've seen a recent post with nearly the same title, but that issue seems different from mine.  Has anyone else noticed that Bartenders, definitely in WW strip clubs but possibly elsewhere, aren't doing their jobs lately?

 

Description:  bartender tends bar.  They spend almost all their time doing bartender tricks and practicing.  "Drinkers" won't approach, except maybe for a few seconds every few minutes.  Often, they don't reach the bar before the bartender resumes doing bar tricks (spinning bottles and pouring from a height, etc.).  During the entire evening, only very few, if any, drinks are sold.

 

First time I encountered this, 2 or 3 months, ago, I fired the BT and got another one.  Same issue.  Out in the town, at various bars, I noticed something similar seemed to be happening sometimes, but I can definitely remember bar visits in which this did not occur.  I'm thinking it's mostly a WW strip club issue.  It is still happening today.

 

This issue has persisted throughout one or two WW, Nisa and Basemental updates.  My install is fairly clean; outside of this trinity of mods, well updated, I have very few other mods.  But, possibly, they might be the issue.  Figured I'd check here first.

 

ETA:  Could it be some kind of environmental variable, that's part of the venue itself?  I'll see if there is a newer strip club available to test.

I just noticed this last night. I mean, it may have been happening before, but not enough to stick out to me. But last night, my strip club owner simply could not get a drink, because the bartender was always doing tricks. I think she sold two drinks to guests the entire night.

 

Next night, I entered the same strip club with a different sim as a guest, and he was able to get a drink straightaway.

 

This is my first time assigning a bartender with maxed out mixology skill. I wonder if this is a consistent bug that scales up with skill, and that's why I didn't notice it before.

Try Shimrod's Bartending Revamp mod. Its an older mod but it still works. Bartenders stand behind the bar, shut up, and serve drinks. I don't have any strip clubs to test, though.

Thanks, GMac.  I tried it, and the issue remains.  The drinker behavior is a little different now; they approach the bar and stand near their chair, facing away from the bar.  (This was not seen before I added the mod.)

I've noticed this as well.  WW and the strip clubs have A LOT of issues, IMO.  This is just one, people stand outside still, the strip club doesn't close on time.  Strippers stop dancing at 3am.  Then have to pause the game to get them to restart.  I'm only running Basegame, Seasons, & Get to Work....with just WW & WP, with MCCC, and basementals venue list and the problems still exist....bummer

BTW, the Shimrod mod I listed apparently doesn't work properly. I found out it breaks "Practice Making Drinks" and throws BE's and probably messes with other stuff. This mod on CurseForge by Bienchen (Sims4Me) was updated the beginning of June 2025. No issues with it so far - at least normal bars / lounges / etc. work now.
