Rush - Roll The Bones

"It's action...reaction
Random interaction

So who's afraid
Of a little abstraction?
Can't get no satisfaction
From the facts?
You better run, homeboy
A fact's a fact
From Nome to Rome, boy

What's the deal?
Spin the wheel
If the dice are hot...take a shot
Play your cards. Show us what you got
What you're holding
If the cards are cold
Don't go folding
Lady Luck is golden
She favors the bold
That's cold
Stop throwing stones
The night has a thousand saxophones
So get out there and rock
And roll the bones
Get busy!"

Let's go to the edge of disaster
Push the pedal and go a little faster
Let's slam into a wall at ramming speed
Let's go to the edge of a mountain
Jump off and lets start countin'
Hit the ground and tell me if it bleeds

Let's go insane
Let's go insane

Let's go to the edge of reality
Let's go for total insanity
Let's go for a government based on greed
Let's go for the final attack
Let's go for a war in Iraq
Let's go for starting up World War III

Let's go insane
Let's go insane

Let's go for the ultimate crime
Let's go for the end of time
Let's go for an ethnic cleansing spree
Let's go for the final battle
Let's slaughter them all like cattle
Let's go to our graves in big parade

Let's go insane
Let's go insane

Let's go!.....insane

James Marshall Hendrix-Machine Gun:

This thing transformed my life. When I first heard this, I was about 11, that was about 1994. It is my favorite song of all time, but it's also timeless, the subject matter and the playing, it'll be around forever, as the saying goes "War, war never changes.". Also, for fans of extended improvisation, this is the Holy Grail.

1916 by Motorhead.

I remember listening to it as a kid and thinking it was incredibly sad and moving, and while I liked it, I didn't understand what a song like that was doing on a Motorhead album. Then I listened to it again a few years ago when I found my old cassette and... it just floored me. Now that I have a better understanding of the first World War, and of what war actually means and entails, as well as a better sense of mortality and duty... (not to mention living to see history pass away with the death of the last WWI veteran) the song just cut me to the fucking quick. One of the best war songs ever recorded.

Also, easy mode, Sam Cooke.
