Trying to transfer a blender model....

Alright, so basically I'm trying to figure out how to put a 3d character model on blender into fallout 4 as an npc. Couldn't find anything with it anywhere so I decided "f it, I'll do it myself". I do not know how to do this, nor do I have any experience with this stuff. My question is, is this a doomed endeavor?

I've been making custom armour in Blender and I haven't been able to get any of the nif import/export addons to function (no matter what version of Blender I use). I think this was the only tutorial I followed that the addon appeared to operate (there were no errors reported), but it still didn't work.

I've been using a pdf I downloaded where the modder (Kreiste) uses obj import/export in outfit studio instead, which I downloaded from here and it bypasses having to use the nif addons, at the cost of more work reconstructing the nif.

There is also this post that mentions export to FBX from Outfit studio, but I've never heard of that format.

@artack23@Tetras66 I don’t much more than you do but I can confirm that the nif import export thing does work but very rarely I have had more success converting them to FBX (since the OBJ internal exporter is broken) then importing that to Outfit studio I know that it being able to read FBX is a new thing I think so make sure you have latest version (I could be wrong) nevertheless Nifskope can only read OBJ or NIF files and you won’t see the textures unless there already in the data folder. There are more specific details but that is the gist
