The game just released and has some uncanny characters and some cute ones too, so hopefully some people are still interested to mod this and maybe even fix their uncanny characters?

Came here to start this topic! I hope we can all make some progress on this game! I'd love to be able to get some mods for these ladies! It would be the first for Star ocean!

Yeah, the third girl is cute, but the other two not so much at least in those pics.

SO characters have had this weird realistic anime style for its characters since 4. Sometimes it hits, other times they look like creepy dolls. 3 kind of had the same issue but it was so poor graphically that it couldn't give that strange feeling like the last few have. Can't say I'm a huge fan of their ASKA Engine and how everything looks.

 

That being said, the princess has grown on me. She weirded me out a bit at first but I think she looks fine now.

 

Speaking of, she wears a dress with baggy pants underneath. Removing those would be a great mod. Especially since you constantly upskirt in this game with all the jumping around and flying.

Sums up my thoughts on two fronts, really. Some of the faces are...unique for sure, but it becomes a matter of distinction to me, and I grow to like some of them for it - I expect the princess to go this way. Others are just entirely too baby-faced and it bothers me forever. I worry Raymond is like Edge in this sense.

Even putting aside upskirts and the like, Laeticia's design just seems overly bulky for a swift dual blade character, and the baggy pants certainly don't help in that regard. I actually think her in-game model looks better than the artwork for it in that context.

is this  an unreal engine game? wouldnt be hard to mod right? this game needs a photo mode(or model viewer) asap..and also outfits, outfits outfits.

 

i recommend playing with Reshade, game looks so much better now and the girls are really nice

Any progress into this game yet? I know this Star Ocean engine is notorious for being difficult to get into. In very curious in helping out with this game
