Dead or Alive 5 - A Few Dumb Questions

Hello! Please bear with me as I ask these questions lol

 

(1) Dead or Alive 5 and Dead or Alive 5 Last Round ... same game?

 

(2) I am having absolutely no luck trying to run DOA5 Last Round on Steam. The menu and everything else run perfectly, the fights are in slow motion. I asked on Steam, and there was no help. Has anyone experienced this issue?

 

(3) Was the old HDM Mod for this game or DOA6?

Well, pretty much most of the mods and content here is for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, the other game has less conent(characters and costumes), and I think it only exist at this point to grab money, if you're confused about it just ask google; about the fights in slow motion probably has something to do with the requirements to run the game, I know that because I used to run it in an old laptop that barely has the specs to play it, Im still doing it though, for testing mods and stuff. HDM mod has always been for DOA5 Last Round

Thanks for the reply. I think it's weird that my computer can't run this 2015 game ... It's not the latest/greatest, but surely it can run DOA at 60 frames.

 

i7 processor, GTX1060, 16 gigs of RAM ... it's just so weird.

 

I actually lowered all the settings, no anti-aliasing, no shadows, low resolution, still nothing. I'm not sure how else I can lower the settings.

 

I plan on getting a new computer this summer, so maybe with better hardware it will run properly.

Are you sure that you're not press the F1 key that activates the slow motion mod from Autolink? ⁉️

This game is much more CPU power sensitive than GPU.

I did run it first time in a i7 2600k, whith a much weaker GPU compared to the one you got and worked fine.

 

You can try to put the game in window mode, with lower resolution, remove AA and drop shadow resolution.

If this doesn't increase your FPS, we almost surelly can say the issue is not hardware.

If this increases FPS, then I would check CPU temperature to see if it's dropping cycles to avoid overheat.

 

Are you running AutoLink + Reshade or SweetFx?

Maybe try to disable one of them to check if anything changes.

 

You can also check if your GPU software has the FPS for this game locked.

 

There are quite a few things which can be hapening.
