Minecraft mods past 1.16

What happened to the modding community since minecraft 1.16 and there around. It seems all but the biggest mods have just diapered since then. Did they introduce something that made modding harder or did people just get tired up always having to update their mods once or twice a year.

Most optifine model mods still work in current version minecraft, Even with the fabric loader.
If you wanna get extra fancy, Customizable Player Models still works very well. It's a bit of a DIY job, but this mod makes it fairly quick and easy to do that DIY job.

If one of you makes a titty-dick fox with this, Share it for sure!

Finally if you cut the creepers out of it, Horganorg's lewd pack still works on current minecraft. 

I will admit I'd really love a nice updated all-gender lewd-mob mod that tries to keep the classical blocky aesthetic, but this is the best so far.

After a year I've decided to revive this discussion for two reasons: first of all to thank you Kupok for letting us know about this mod, and second to share, with everybody who is interested, my first attempt at making a model. More specifically, a titty-dick fox.

In Inventory:   (yeah, you masturbate while in your inventory, you're welcome)

 

"Sleeping":    (note, in game you won't be able to see this as well, because while you sleep your view is blocked. Also, in first person you'll see even worst)

Eating is slightly modified from vanilla.

You wag your tail automatically, speed does not vary.

Riding is... let's say that I I don't even know what I was doing. Basically your legs are spread, with your hands tied behind your back and ubi has fun with your mouth... yeah, don't ask questions.

When you get hurt both you and ubi react slightly.

 

And Finally... Poses and gestures that can be activated via the in game menu:  (Also not shown here because I'm extra lazy)

Pose, All Four: basically the sleeping animation but on command, reminder to not move and to deactivate it before moving or you'll look silly

Gesture, Masturbation: exactly what you'd expect, you masturbate while standing, can be used while walking

Gesture, Tease: ... a bit cringy, not gonna lie. Still, decent enough to keep in here.

 

It's basically my first model... so yeah, do expect weird decisions model, texture and animation wise.

note, I'm not sure about the Glasses, but you can remove them easily. (Head -> Nuzzle UP -> Glasses L/R)

note 2, the robot is named "ubi", if you don't like him feel free to delete him, just beware that most animations won't work properly.

note 3, I did a Futa version (boobs+dick+pussy -balls) a while back... but let's just say that it's easier to make a dick than a pussy... if requested I'll upload that too after some refining.

 

And finally, here is the Skin itself. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did making it.

Feel free to use it and to modify it to your tastes. If you end up sharing it I'd like to be credited even tho I don't actually care that much.

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

There are 3 ways you can use a custom player model;

All of them require you to download and istall the mod (you can find how to install it and what version of forge you'll need in the mod's site).

1-The easiest and only way to always have a custom model, is by loading a skin in the minecraft launcher (in the case of my files uploaded above, either "Sexy_Rhauli.png" or "SFW_Rhauli.png")

(do note that in the minecraft launcher you won't see the actual model)

! This method allows you to auto-load the model with just a .png. You can even have multiple models as multiple skins, but changing them will require a game restart

 

2-The second way is by having a .cpmmodel file, this allows you to load the model while in a world but doesn't allow you to edit.

-go to your "%appdata%\.minecraft" folder and open "player_models" (if you don't have this folder, it means that the mod hasn't been launched yet).

-paste or place your ".cpmmodel" here.

-In the game settings, go to keyboard bindings and bind something to "Gestures menu". Then load a world and press said button. Now, on the bottom left of the screen press "Models", this will bring up a list of the models you have saved in the "player_models" folder.

(Note, the models that are here can't be modified, but you can interchange them while in-game or in a server.)

! This method allows you to load in a world with your normal skin and then change to a model at your discretion, instead of always being a "futa fox"

 

3-The last way is to load the model project (this method allows you to modify/create new models or textures, but doesn't auto-load the model as your character while in game)

(P.S. The mod author advises to use the most recent game version supported by the mod. AKA, you want to make a model for your 1.12 minecraft gameplay? Use the mod and game version 1.20.6 to create the model and then load your 1.12 game with the mod version 1.12. Newer mod version may have features that makes it easier to model while being retro-compatible)

 

-start the game and click the "open skin editor" on the top-right

-Then go to "File" -> "Load" and load the .cpmproject file. This will allow you to load the editable model.

(note, I reccommend to create a folder with your .cpmmodel files in your "%appdata%\.minecraft" folder, that way you can keep them in one place. Pictured below)

(the folder "player_models" is created by the mod and is where you can find the autosave of your projects and any models that you save from the servers. Don't save your projects here)

   

-Lasty, you can go to "File" -> "Test Ingame" and load a world. This is supposed to be just to see how your model works and is not meant to be the default way to load your model

(note, if you are already in a world, you can "Test Ingame" the model withouth having to quit and re-open everytime)

! This method, as said 2 lines above, is just for testing how your models react to the world (being glowing eyes or animations)

 

Final Note:

before making this "small" tutorial on how to use the models I didn't actually informed myself on how to share said models nor on what's the differece between ".cpmmodel" and ".cpmproject"... I've updated the above downloads to contain both files, that way you all can actually modify the model to your liking...

I've also added the 2 .cpmprojects to this comment for anyone who just wants them.
