DD gags and chain physics

When I use a gag in DD, the mouth of my character will not open to fit the gag and when I use the chains, the leg irons are disconnected. is there a mod that interferes with these processes or a mod to fix it that I have not seen.

I know for the gags there's something known as "mfg fix" (would find the link to it but I'm not home right now).

MFG Fix (SE) pn the Nexus (as mentioned above).

I saw a comment that the chains not being connected is a thing with HDT-SMP in SE. The solution was to save, close the game, then reload, and it should be fixed, but that as soon as anything is changed where the chains are concerned (adding/removing items), the issue will come back. It's not something that bothers me (it's a foible of Skyrim), so I've never dug deeper into it.
