Sims 4 Bear Pride Stuff Pack

 

 

The most comprehensive collection of Bear Pride content for The Sims 4.

 

INSTALLATION

Extract files and place in your "Mods" directory

You'll find the merged file on LoversLab but individual packs are now only on MediaFire to make it easier on everyone

You can find the content by searching 'bear' or by noting which objects have the Bear Pride paw thumbnail

Enable custom content in The Gallery to be able to see the shop as a placeable lot in the game

P.A.Q. (Possibly Asked Questions)

Are there any bugs?

There shouldn't be any since there are mostly recolors, but sometimes errors do happen

Maxis sometimes places the textures in weird ways, so I've done my best to fix their UVs. No problems so far

The kotatsu table uses a different texture when Sims sit at it, so my recolor actually disappears for that

I've added two "walk-in" showers that are meant to be base game. Sometimes they're very glitchy and might vanish right after you place them. Just undo and place them until they don't vanish.

I have X, is it compatible with this mod?

Technically, any mod should be compatible with Bear Pride Stuff, so long as the meshes aren't changed.

There are mods that complement this mod to complete the 'Bear' appearance of your sims

I recommend using Lumia's Body Hair V5/5+ or Simdulgence's body hair, SimpleGens penis, and SimpleChests.

How big is this mod really?

Gigantic. The largest file is about 1.1GB and that includes all the content in the mod. Only use this if you have all the DLCs

The packs vary in size and install only if you want a certain pack or if you don't own all the DLCs listed

The 'Grrr! Bear Shop' uses items from the base game and Get to Work so do not install if you don't have that DLC (not updated since v2.6)

I don't have a high-end nor low-end computer and my game runs fine, so you should be fine

Why are updates available on Lover's Lab and MediaFire?

This is done to avoid large file sizes on this site and also to make it easier for people to update individual packs. It's easier to update for 1 pack than to download an 0.8GB zip file for only 1 pack they'll use.

Some of them are from The Sims 4 Gallery and others are made by content creators, such as Jeleme45, Allrosenrot, or Chubby Devil. I used words like "beefy", "hunk", "daddy" to find big guys for my models. And for certain ethnicities that I wanted to include, I searched up "Hispanic", "Japanese", or "Scottish" as well. Others are made from scratch based off of Bears in art, comics, or pictures. I think the main guy I use in the screenshots is "William Torres" by Chubby Devil.

 

I use alpha cc for the skin and modified other mods so that they'd be compatible with each other. Unfortunately, in the game the quality of the textures drops a lot and idk how to make it higher quality.

After the dlc updates for this mod, I will release a larger update, themed around the personalities of the Bear Pride models. It will be mostly base game with the exception of items that cannot be base game (see spoiler below). It will likely be released in late-November to mid-December, or even early 2021 depending on how much content I add, how long it takes to make, and how often I'm able to work on it.

 

A few updates ago, I released (no longer available at this moment) decals of Brad's Muscle Bear Gym. Now, I've added a teaser of what is coming with that update too. You can download the file to test out the new content but note that it is a work-in-progress so don't expect it to be working 100%.

Also, at the moment, I don't have any builds ready for release. Many of the lots used in screenshots are downloaded from The Gallery and refurnished with bear Pride content. However, a bar/club is coming in the future as well as other lots. Just need to figure out how to make them + make my CC for them

Maybe. Over time, I began to upgrade some of my previous work and saw that the early releases are "acceptable." As I continued to work on the mod, I began to get rid of earlier versions and replaced them with new versions that are more pleasing.

 

Tl:dr I got rid of them bc they were made poorly at the time but I might re-add them now that my skills have improved in the past year

Good to know there is a chance they might get added back! However, if they do not get added back, it would be completely fine as well. It's your CC that you created, and you can do whatever you want with it

How to get the texture of these feet?

@destin6 Okay so I think I have 3 answers for that:

 

1) It's a custom skin I downloaded that acts as a skin overlay. That's alpha cc but idk from where since I have quite a few

2) For a time, I had a custom body hair edit I made to add hair on the feet. I don't have it anymore bc I use an updated version of the original mod now

3) There used to be a custom sole blush mod on this site which I converted for male sims. It got deleted I think bc I never saw it again but I have it

 

So idk if that helps but all it takes is a bit of searching, some slight image edits, and some tweaking on Sims 4 Studio and you can do it too

I have hundreds of images of Bears saved, for inspiration or to use them later. If anything, I'll add them to the base game so you don't need to buy a dlc just to have 100 different swatches of my favorite Bears from those three thousand or so that I have ?

So sorry for the late reply, this comment did not appear on my feed.

 

A bar and a spa are both in the works. Separate from Bear Pride Stuff is an "add-on" called Oso Sauna. Some parts are already available in my Spa Day recolors. A sauna will be released next month alongside a full release of Muscle Bear Gym. The bar might take a bit longer since I am making both the recolors and the build on my freetime. Also, the gym and sauna will be released first but a new shop, a "resort," a club, and the bar are also in the works. In general, I make recolors to have them where practical. I'm not the best builder but I try my best to have enough content that someone who is better at building would have enough to be satisfied.

 

Anyway, those builds are WIP but WILL be released. It just takes time to make it look right and do all the recolors

Do I have to add the lot files to a different folder than my mods folder or is that where they go? I've never used custom lots before and you didn't specify other than turning cc on in the gallery.
