Game keeps on loading

At times, my game keeps on loading when loading a savegame, or entering/exiting a location.

Starting a new game and loading from there, makes it work again.

Is this is auto/quicksave bug? Once encountered, is the save corrupted?

You have CASM.. Set it up to not make incremental saves or quicksaves,  but set it to do full saves..

Those saves will take longer, but it will help against save corruption.

Especially, because it seems you are running with many script-heavy mods.

 

 

Is hairpatcher the mod that scans all mods to offer you all hairs from all mods in the show-race-menu? If so, disable it after you created your character.
***Unless you change your character's appearance everytime you play FNV.

 

 

 

btw, you have some ESM's that are WAY TO LOW in the load order.  ESM's (and esp's flagged as esms) always go to the top.

Hair Patcher builds modified lists of hairs everytime the game launches, distributing every type of hair on every type of playable race. It uses non-persistent NVSE functions, so doing that causes this:

Without hair patcher - the character has a certain hair on the save, which is not present when you reload since hair patcher was disabled and didn't rebuild the lists:

What hair patcher does is explicitly stated when it starts: a message will tell you how much time was needed to process the lists, in milliseconds. So, what you only need to think is: "can I wait (hair patcher message) seconds more to load the game, or it's too much for me?", nothing else, no other downsides attached. If that time is too high, you can try Hair Patcher 2, which allows to optimise narrowing down the usable races. But no there's no other way to do it unless you don't make your own patch on GECK / xEdit.

 

I think your problem is the one involving races which pests gamebryo since always and it's present in every beth game, it was corrected only recently on skyrim LE thanks to a dll but I've never seen that dll on NV. I don't think there's a real way to solve it in NV. But there's a faster way that MAYBE could help you. You start a new game, you open the console and write SAVE 1 (you can write whatever name, but the shorter the better for you), then when you launch NV and arrive on the main menu you open console and LOAD 1, it should load that very first save, from there you can load your real save. It's a similar workaround to what was used in a certain Skyrim mod before the dll I mentioned above.

I tried putting all the ESM (barring Nevada Skies) as high as possible, along with their ESP, but MO2 seems determined that some mods should stay where they are. For example, I can't put the ILO esp under the ESM, because it wants FCO.esm to be inbetween them.

 

Adjusting CASM seems to mitigate the issue, but I guess I should start a new game, with only reliance on full saves.
