Fighting the Slavery/Tryout Stutter

Hi,

 

I have a little request...I´m still trying to make SexoutSlavery and SexoutLegion playable...

 

The problem

 

 

With SexoutLegion.esm and SexoutSlavery.esm enabled the game begins to stutter after a period of around 5 to 30 minutes...this stuttering gets stronger the longer I play.

The stuttering is already starting when the basic fps is still over 40...but as time passes the fps will be killed down to 3-4.

I tested everything I can think of including different graphic settings, performance optimization, resolving mod conflicts, lowering folder size, NVSR - stutter remover, enb mods, VSync, Multithreading, Preload limits, various ini tweaks...and a lot more...without effect

 

There are a few more people having this problem.

Though my rig can handle a modded Skyrim with ultra settings easily my system specs should not be the reason.

 

 

Please can anyone who:

- has the mentioned plugins enabled and who can play the game over an hour without stuttering (exteriors + interiors)

- has a 64bit windows operating system (important)

 

...please send me some of his specs? I would like to copy the inis and the settings to see if that makes things better plus I would like to narrow the cause of the issue down.

 

Info I would appreciate:

- all 3 ini files (as attachment maybe?)

- have performance optimizing stuff installed? (NVSR, 4gb enabler...)

- average fps

- Load order (only optional)

 

 

For people having the same issue and who are thinking about upgrading their systems just to resolve this special issue...you still might have this issue when you have the following specs and mods ->

Yes, I have removed various DLC plugins due to testing if size matters ^^ ...and no smaller is really not better even with the right techniques

 

 

I would be really glad to get some info for comparison.

Plugins in green are merged into the Bashed Patch. Plugins in blue are false-flagged so I can reference them in the GECK. "The Preservation Act" plugins are manual merging of mods I have to do because the Bashed Patch either doesn't do it at all or screws it up.

Pregnancy is a much higher impact mod when compared to Legion and Slavery and when set up to do so adds and runs scripts on every NPC in the area.

Yep the pregnancy mod is quite heavy but it is not the cause of this "special" stuttering I am experiencing...I have tested the game via new game with only the tryout plugins and slavery enabled...every other mod even the DLCs where deinstalled...the stutter appeared again

 

It must be some special settings that are not good for those two plugins.

I've attached my .ini files as .txt files because it won't let me upload .ini files. I don't use WorkingGirl or PowderGangers because they add events that will never have a chance to happen in my game so having them in my load order is pointless. I can't speak to their impact on my setup's performance.

I thank you a lot...I will go through the inis and make some more tests...maybe I can find something...if not we can exclude a lot of possible reasons for the stutter problem.

So far my tests were not very satisfying...Did play around with various possibilities but the main problem still occurs.

 

It SEEMS (at least for my system) that the inis are not responsible for the stuttering problem...you can improve performance by changing special values but eliminating the legion/slavery stutter failed

 

Well I reached a point where my will of resolving this issue fades away (3 month is enough).

I downloaded the Tryout mod available at Nexus and this works well without stuttering...and I really like that version so I will use this one instead and give up on the tryout version for sexout.

It was suggested to me that the problem MIGHT be the DirectX version on the computer is somehow conflicting with/or glitching SexoutNG scanner, although how that could be I don't know.

I've had the same problem consistently since I upgraded to the new SexoutNG and after removing all the script heavy mods [Tryouts, Slavery, Pregnancy, and others] did help some, but didn't totally eliminate the issue [still running SexoutNG, SexoutSex, SexoutCompanions, SmallerTalk, AltHookups].

My current DirectX is 9.0c, which is the best I can get for Win XP OS I'm told, apparently DirectX v10 and up won't work with it [Marketing ploy, forcing you to upgrade to the newer OS's and spend our bucks on glitchy ****].

Nuther thot, could it be the new nvse extender from prideslayer playing havoc with older systems?

Cancel that question, I see systems specs listed that are making me drool and they seem to have the same problems.

I have checked various DirectX versions for F:NV but nothing worked...or I missed something very important...but if it would have been very important I would have read about it I guess

 

The nvse extender from Prideslayer works perfectly...I ran the game together with RePopulatedWasteland, Populatedcasinos, a lot of Sexout plugins (except L/S) and the game ran smoothly for hours even with higher scanner frequencies...

it must be something with the Legion/Slavery mod itself that does not work properly on every system...or the G.E.C.K. screwed some tiny hidden part of the mod file ^^

You can't fix something if you don't know what's causing it. It's not the scanner. I have the same plugins on my game and I don't get this lag you speak of. The problem is something else. Maybe combined with the scanner, maybe on its own. But if the problem were the scanner by itself, I would have the issue. And I don't.

I have an ATI 6770 on a 64 bit system. I have only experienced this at the NCRCF. I have a brand new GTX 650 sitting here at the house I have been thinking about putting in as an alternate video system, just to see if Fallout runs any better on that.

One thing I did notice was I got enormous stuttering problems like they describe here when I first installed bouncing breasts and had the wrong skeleton installed.

I have a brand new ATI 7970 and I still get loads of lag.

 

The issue is more pronounced in the RCRCF because of the concentration of NPC's. Going inside one of the cell blocks fixes it. But if you have populated wasteland/casinos, going to the 188 trading post or one of the cassinos eventually gets your game to a crawl.

 

That is to say, I'm experiencing it too. I'm convinced this is an ATI driver problem. Regardless of how good my specs are, I never get good FPS in FNV. It infuriates the hell out of me. I get better FPS playing Crisis 2 or The Witcher 2 on maximum with all my video card graphics options maxed out.

I just installed the nVidia GTX 650 I had laying around here and did about 30 to 40 minutes in the game. With game setting to Ultra and everything maxed, plus running on an HDMI connection (amazing what HDMI does for graphics enhancement and quality) I consistently got between 40-60 FPS with high 50's in a lot of places. Big FPS hit when I got to the prison while everything loaded. Then I was running between 35-45 FPS at the prison without the stuttering I experienced with the ATI 6770.

I have a GeForce GTX 550 Ti with 306.97 drivers on 64bit OS...I had an ATI before (forgot the name) but bought the NVidia card only to solve my F:NV issues !...the general performance is better but this special stuttering was there with the ATI card and is still there with the NVidia card...so I for myself excluded a problem with ATI cards as the cause for the stutter

I have nvidia GTX570 with latest driver, 8gb ram and suffering from stutter after 30mn.

FPS is good, i have micro stutter.

Ran the game in window mode (fake fullscreen) and i noticed less stuttering in interior...but problem is still there in the wastelands.

I run sexout compilation.

Damn, I was convinced this was related to the facegen issue with ATI cards (you know, the one that is supposedly solved by that D3d9.dll thingie, which never worked for me)

 

I am on the verge of trading in my AMD/ATI Radeon HD 7970 for a similar or slightly inferior nVidia card just because of this crazy as hell FPS problem I have with FNV. I know all about the stutter, and it gets progressively worse in heavily crowded areas. It is probably related to memory leakage by the game, which is prone to do this.

 

I reckon the scanner must exacerbate it, as enough people have reported the issue. What bugs me is why do some people (like Zippy, and there are others) not get it too?

I've tried lots of things...with this latest install I'm just using a default config of high details but I'm running a much lower resolution 1280 by 720 letterbox instead of my native 1920by 1080 resolution. To be fair I have really awful Nvidia card (a GT 420) compared to most others but so far it's running very smooth. Got stutter remover and configator on standby though if things start to get choppy. I had this issue with both FO3 and New Vegas, with various different cards on various different computers though, and that's before I was even playing with mods. I'm convinced the engine itself is just crap.

I too have noticed stutter recently. I think it's an NVIDIA driver issue, since I don't remember this happening before. Only other thing I can think of is that Slavery and the Tryouts heavily use the Sexout scanner.
