Sexy Oblivion Load Screens(updated 3/3/13)

Recommended Posts

One thing Oblivion has an abundance of it loading screens, so I thought I'll spice up the screen images. They are all 3d/2d art and based on medieval-ish fantasy. So you won't see anything TOO un-lore friendly to take you out of the game. Most of the images are damsels in distress.

Here are some of the images:

It's working fine & it's amazing - to the above post copy to data/ textures/ menus not data menus

I had copied it to data/textures/menus/loading and it doesn't change the load screens for me... is it because i put it in the loading folder instead of just leaving it menu? cause it said it was merging then it said it was replacing all the original files because they were all named the same. i'll try changing it... also, what exactly am i supposed to do with the Lightguro folder...? because it wasn't so clear about that...

Do me a favor and download this mod, it contains an esp that cold possibly elp you out, download that, and then overwrite the images in that mod with this download

The guro folder is optional if you are interested in that, I know its a boner killer for most people so I didnt want to force it upon them, if you want it, just copy those file and overwrite the images, no images will be loss

still doesnt seem to work... i figured that the .esp

would go intot eh data folder since you formatted it as .esp and data inside the main folder. so... with that being said, i have the .esp in the data folder and i put the .dds files in the data/textures/menu/loading folder. i also transferred the files from guro into the loading file. all i'm getting are the same old same old loading screens only without text. is there perchance any mod this doesn't work with? cause the mod i used to remove the text was the one you listed in the post with the original download. so i dont think it should have any kind of complications. i also tried fast traveling to the same location repeatedly on the off chance that i just hadn't stumbled on one of them yet and got about twenty of the regular loading screens. so then i figured i should try making a new character and that also yield no results... i don't get why not so i am not going to attempt uninstall and reinstall the whole game again... :/

If you got OBMM try this.

Go to utilities and then click on archive invalidation. Then click the dot near BSA alteration' date=' make sure textures is checked and then hit update now. Should work.

Dude read again the first post & be careful where you copy the files! In Data/Textures/menus/loading (not data/menus where i'm guessing you went) THERE ARE HARD SURFACE PAINT FILES OF THE SAME NAME! You need to replace'em with these.

na he is kinda right, I had blue screen of death where I had to restore my computer back to factory settings :*(

I reinstalled oblivion from scratch and when I came to update loadscreens it wouldn't automatically work. So I was sort of in the same spot as him, I then did the OBMM thing along with the esp tigerlilly's load screen mod (I am not using the esp from the first post) and it worked. So I have no idea what is going on if he followed instructions

I did... I placed them in C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Textures\Menus\Loading which was filled with files of the same name. i replaced them all. and it did nothing...

In fact' date=' When I use paint to look at one of the files in the C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Textures\Menus\Loading file, it is one of the ones i'm trying to get on there. but when i play the game it just doesn't show up...

If you have Vista, Win7 or Win8 then even archive invalidating via bsa redirection may not save you. You are likely fighting UAC and permissions issues.

Best thing is to get oblivion out of the program files directory ASAP and you should be in the clear.

Whatever you do, do NOT use the archive invalidated plugin that Garudax just recommended (sorry dude) as it is very old and NOT the most reliable\current method. Instead use OBMM (or Wrye) and archive invalidate via bsa redirection.

Gimp with dds plugin works great I have modded new photos into most of the slots. Use one of the pictures in the folder that is approximately the same size as the photo you want to use. Remove the picture from the top layer only. Add your photo as a layer on top of the other layers and save as a dds with the same filename as the one you are replacing. Place in folder and enjoy.

i looked into the files before and after all they are great pictures, might even use some of them, but most do have the wrong size and will look odd because they'll be stretched to fit the screen.

as i've retextured quite a bunch of stuff in oblivion and fallout, i know its most important to keep the aspect ratio of the original files as if you dont kee paspect ratio, the UV will most likely not fit or the gameengine will have problems loading textures that dont go by standard sizes (32x32, 64x64, 512x512, 1024x1024 or 1024x2048 etc.)

also in most cases when content isnt showing up ingame you need "archiveinvalidated" for which i use wrye.

also as far as i know, the vanilla game has loadscreens in different folders for different screen resolution aspects (4:3, 16:9, 16:10, 5:4) maybe thats also a problem in your current version.

i dont mean to blame you or anyone, i know its not that easy to make a mod without having bugs a t first release, because there's so much to consider when modding on this engine ;-)
