It's completely changeable and dynamic via actions and dice rolls. I know, I've used it. I've moved from one trait to the other. I've gone from neutral to dom, neutral to sub, etc. There's definitely a challenge element to it, that much is certain. But it's not an immutable state. ?

"Sub/Dom orientation is mostly a permanent, independent trait of your character. You can choose your player's starting D/s orientation when running the game for the first time with the mod. After that, your player's D/s orientation will remain fixed."

 

from your quote I read the last two lines as you pick it and it remains fixed, but a previous poster says that it is indeed dynamic. I havnt ever used it so I was just going off that description. It sounds like I was wrong though and I can indeed make use of the framework. I'll look into it a bit more and see if it lines up with what I want to do.

Have to admit, you have a point here. But, as a player....I'd rather have a single unified dependency, than each mod with it's own system of values...which at least to me, feels like it runs the risk of increasing the chances of conflicts with other mods which may implement the same kind of stuff, or modifies similar/same values.

Going to avoid adding another dependency in the attributes framework for now. There's some cool stuff in there like willpower tracking and other stuff but the sub/dom system isnt quite what I need. As KitKat mentioned adding more dependencies isn't ideal anyways. It might be something worth integrating later down the line.

Yes you will be able to fast travel back and forth.

I'm trying to bring a decent amount of content with the next update so its going to take me awhile to get it done. I'm working alone and there's a lot to do with a project this big so it can't be helped. I would estimate a few months before the next release. I released this because I wanted to get some feedback before I got to far along to make sure everything was working as expected and the content was interesting to people. Thankfully a few people responded with good feedback and opinions to help me out.

I'm working on it but ultimately its taking more time to complete than I thought it would and I have less time to work on it than I expected. While I initially promised a lot of variation in stories for now I've decided to make them more linear due to time involved (you still have choices but the entire scenario won't be completely different based on if your character is dominant or very submissive or something). I'll give an update on where I'm at though. 

 

I've made minor adjustments to the intro based on feedback. I've built out most of the exterior of Gold City (the city you arrive at off the ship). I've added several smaller triggerable events around the city. I've added some random repeatable events (while the larger stories are mostly linear these events still vary heavily based on player profile(e.g. sub/dom stat and player perversion stat)). The bulk of what I'm working on though is what i'll call "major stories/scenarios." The major stories i'm currently working on are all at various stages of completion. I have five major stories right now in a bondage shop, a brothel, a casino, a game show, and a milk shop. In retrospect I wish I focused on one story at a time and planned to do smaller updates. Like say this month I just focus on the casino and then release that and then next month do the brothel and release that, and I plan to switch to that approach after I get this first update out.  I was probably too ambitious with how quickly I thought I could power through, but the city feels really empty and incomplete right now and I wanted to put all this content into one update to get it feeling more alive.  Regardless I'm trying to get these major stories to some sort of baseline of completion before I release the next update. 

 

I don't feel comfortable giving a time for the release though as I find writing and bug fixing actually take the majority of my time when working on this and those are things I can't quantify in terms of time required. It could be a month or it could be 6 months. I'm still making progress though, and after this first update I think my approach to future releases will be much more manageable. Hoping this isn't to disappointing to hear after what I initially said I would accomplish by now.

Hey, great mod so far, I love the concept. However, I'm having an issue whereby the animations for some of the scenes don't play and my character and the NPC just end up standing there. Any idea what could be causing this?

Nope. Still working on it when i can and making progress towards an update, even if slower and scaled down from what I initially wanted. Time frame is still the same as my last post.

Going to give an update since its been awhile. I've been working on this on and off for awhile now and I'm not really where I wanted to be. I had hoped to get the foundation of the city done by now but I'm only maybe half way there. Regardless in one of my previous post I said I would release the next update in 1 to 6 months and its been 6 months so I'll release what I've got to keep with that promise. Right now I'm just trying to iron out any major bugs so that what I have runs smoothly. I'm hoping to have the update out by Monday. As for what to expect, the content that will be in the update is basically what I said I was working on in my previous post, minus the gameshow story. Some of the game play elements that I planned to utilize such as the submission/corruption values aren't going to be used much in this update. For example there's a brothel you can work at and while I would eventually want to gate working as a whore behind having a high submission or corruption value, there's simply not enough ways to grind that value high enough right now to justify blocking that content off. While working on this I've come to realize the scope of this project was probably too ambitious, it would probably take years to get this project to a satisfactory state. It also doesn't feel like there is much interest in content like this. Going forward I still plan to continue working on this whenever I'm motivated, but expect updates to be small, few, and far between.

Dont be rushed on it. From what I have seen of this mod, it is going to be popular. Take your time with it. I would much rather wait for something to be really good than to get something that was rushed through. You dont owe anyone anything. Make it what you want. Happy weekend!
