Released
v2.4.2 - Fixes mods silently reverting after a game patch
If your mods vanished on their own and BDO complained about corrupted files, this is that bug. Nothing was actually corrupt.
pad00000.meta stores the client version in its header. An inject could leave that number lower than your installed client, so the launcher decided the game had rolled back, re-downloaded about 1 GB of patches and replaced the meta - wiping every mod and leaving ~1.6 GB of dead archives behind.
- The AIO now records your client version before injecting and re-checks it after. If it changed, it tells you DO NOT LAUNCH instead of letting the launcher eat your setup.
- New verify step confirms the patched meta is actually valid before you start the game.
- Restoring a vanilla backup made on an older client version is now blocked - it caused the same wipe.
- Startup warns you when the game has patched since your last inject.
- Removed old advice telling you to restore vanilla when the launcher stalls on a patch. That advice caused the problem.
After a game update, do this order: let the launcher finish and start the game once, then re-make your vanilla backup, then re-apply AIO -> PartCutGen -> Meta Injector.
PartCutGen was suspected and is fine. No body slider values, packs, or pipeline behaviour changed from v2.4.1.
- Download BDO-AIO-full.7z
- Extract with 7-Zip to a short path, e.g. C:\BDO-AIO\
- Double-click START.bat
- Press 9 — confirm pack is ~1.5–2 GB under pack\
- Press 6 Full Wizard (or configure gender/armor/collections first)
- Select game PAZ folder (must contain pad00000.meta)
- Finish PartCutGen, then Meta Injector
- Launch Black Desert normally
- After official patches, re-run the wizard (use menu heisha helper if inject breaks)
Restore: menu R and/or Meta Injector "Restore Backup"; or launcher Verify/Repair for full vanilla.
Do not hand-copy random folders into PAZ — use the AIO wizard.
