About This File
English is not my first language. I hope that my description is clear enough.
Lot info:
Size - 30*30. Looks perfect in San Myshuno.
Value - 450000 simoleons.
Lot designation - nightclub.
Red Light District was originally created by someone nicknamed KrunchiiSoft. The layout and most of the hard work was done by this author and not me. Unfortunately, many players have reported crashes and were unable to use this beautiful lot in their game. This is my attempt at fixing this creation.
IMPORTANT! Use the cheat bb.moveobjects before placing the lot.
Improvements:
1) drastically reduced the number of unnecessary decorative objects, improving stability and performance
2) almost 1 Gb of CC was removed - some objects were outdated or no longer needed
3) changed every interior space with functionality and comfortable gameplay in mind
- purely decorative adult store was rebuilt as internet cafe\sex arcade usable by Sims
- nightclub with DJ booth is slightly changed so the bar patrons no longer get in the way of the dancers
- "private room" on the third floor is now actually accessible (originally stairs would go nowhere), instead of being a weird brothel place it now contains a gambling den, the second sex arcade (more hardcore than the one on the ground floor) and small lounge; you can access the third floor of BDSM club from casino
- swinger club was changed to BDSM club, the building is no longer 75% stairs, like in the original
- cabaret\strip club was slightly changed - now it has less seats (there was too many) but more stripper poles (there was none)
- massage parlor is no longer The Glitch Central (it had three copies of every object stacked on top of each other)
- ramen shop is no longer "decorated" with many kitchen counters and cupboards - looks somewhat basic now, but there is no clipping and Sims won't lose their ramen bowls in the depths of the overbuilt shop
- "love hotel" now looks more classy, if somewhat spartan (all you really need is a sturdy bed)
- non-usable "convenience store" with backroom full of cocaine changed to a small bar equipped with juicemaking machinery (the implication here is that the beer you drink is produced on-site)
- added showers and hot tubs everywhere - your sex worker Sims always need a way to clean themselves and relax after their long "night shift"
- removed some bar counters - three places to get drunk is more than enough
- added roof access to the building where massage parlor is located; it is mostly unused but you can live there if you have a tent and other portable objects - ideal for the rags-to-riches scenario
- improved the aesthetics and visual storytelling - can't really explain this one, I just kinda moved the objects from place to place until my brain said "now it makes more sense"
- and many more changes I can't remember
How to populate the lot:
You will have some foot traffic here simply because this place is a nightclub. But you can take some additional steps to create a bustling, lively district.
1) Install the mod Auto Employees by littlemssam. It will allow you to have multiple workers on the same lot - bartenders, entertainers, massage specialists etc.
2) Use the in-game club system. Create clubs with different activities and assign Red Light District as their preferred hangout. They will come to enjoy food, dance, play games, watch performances and so on.
3) Teach some of the Sims in your game to dance. Dancing skill makes them more likely to show up and have fun on the dance floor.
4) You can buy the lot and use it as a strip club - your workers will add even more life to the Red Light District.
Requirements:
Go here. Download pretty much everything except clothes. Kritical makes the best stuff. I used a lot of BDSM furniture to spice up the place.
Basemental Drugs is a soft requirement - there is two tobacco vending machines on the lot.
Wicked Whims is needed to actually use the district for your sex trade needs.
That is all. The lot was tested and should work without any problems. Emphasis on "should" - I can't really tell if it will work on your system. Please report any issues here.
