VC Series - Police Cruiser v.1.0
Â
Okay, so this is actually a re-working of the Police Cruiser posted on ModsGarden, but with some subsequent extra work done on it to make it extra shiny and new. Actually, I have to say I had forgotten the level of customisation I had made, and, quite frankly, I impressed even myself! It's definitely worthy of a re-post at any rate, and a good addition to the 'VC' range. In the course of creating rooms, I have re-worked a few vehicles (although not quite to the extent I have here) so look out for more additions to this series.
Â
And now, without any further ado, I present to you the Police Cruiser...
Â
Â
Description
Â
The Police Cruiser is part of the Vice City (VC) series, recreating the gritty feel of a city plagued by crime, the hard-pressed police force the only thing stopping the criminal underlords from total control. Ensuring the streets are free of crime is an ongoing fight, and the maintainance of Law & Order is only achieved through constant vigilance by cruising the mean streets in Police Cruisers such as this one.
Â
And remember: honest citizens have nothing to fear...
Â
Â
Special Features
Â
- Compatiable with v.7.5 & VX
- ControlBall Compliant
- Police Cruiser Light Combinations
- Road Speed Effect
Â
Â
How It Works
Â
Use the Hook 5 'Includes' menu to activate or deactivate the Light combinations on the Police Cruiser. Please note that only one type of Light Combination should be activated at any one time. Customisation includes:
Â
- Flashing Hazard Lights
- Five different Front Light combination
- Four different Top Bar Light combinations
- Two different Window Bar Light combinations
Â
Â
Requirements
Â
The room consists entirely of Hook 5 objects, and as the Police Cruiser itself is a Hook 5 objects, needless to say paid Hook 5 is pretty much obligatory. Please note that everything you need is contained in the file.
Â
Â
Object Parenting & ControlBalls
Â
Simply put, Object Parenting is the ability to move multiple Objects at the same time, and ControlBalls is the system put into place to do it. There's a lot more to it than that, but basically put, that's what it's all about.
Â
The room is designed to be moved using the Tier3 ControlBall. In the same way, the Police Cruiser is designed to be moved with a Tier1 ControlBall. Please note though that if a Light Combination is not selected when you move the Police Cruiser, it will stay right where it is! Also note that if you activate or deactivate anything, then you will need to 'save and reload' using the Hook 5 menu. It sounds complicated, but after a bit of trial and error I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Â

Acknowledgements
Â
In particular, the ModsGardener formerly known as 'SPT35' for originally porting the Police Cruiser to TK47, but also all those on ModsGarden who contributed to the porting of objects which formed such a fundamental basis of my rooms. I can't remember your forum handles, but you know who you are, and you have my thanks.
Â
Â
That's All Folks!
Â
Any other details are in the Readme in the file. Well, I hope you have as much fun using the room as I did in creating it. Enjoy!
