Antonio is an angel. He did all in his power contacting all his connections to revoke orphanage teacher’s prohibition that my Prince can’t visit Ena and Luka ever again. It wasn’t easy because teacher’s arguments that we are immoral, perverted and untrusting because we live in love triangle was very strong on the orphanage board meeting.

 

Antonio had to call our parents and few other witnesses who knows how do we live. So, my mom and dad, Zdenka, Boss, Fran, Lidija, Tina, Nick and Adriana and few others were invited to testify in our behalf. Those who couldn't come talked to the board over the phone speaker. Hearing their short testimonies about our good and model life, how much we helped many people, we got consensus regardless our lifestyle.

But, we were conditioned:

1. Ena and Luka aren’t allowed to come to our house but we can take them to any public place and not three of us. Only Prince with me or Ivy. And only for one hour once a week.

 

2. We aren’t allowed to kiss or to express any kind of intimacy in the front of the children.

 

3. When visiting kids in the orphanage, again, my Prince can bring only one of us with him and the visit can’t be longer than 1 hour.

 

4. My Prince has to organize Christmas, New year, Easter and other holidays’ events performing music and the program for orphanage children. If the projects goes well and the children would love it, the board will reconsider their decision to let us be with children more often and longer.

 

We are going to sign the agreement with the orphanage principle which we aren’t allowed to break at any point. If we do, the agreement becomes invalid and we are permanently forbidden to see the kids.

I can’t express how much happy we are, especially my Prince. He performed happy dance when Antonio called him and told him good news. Ena got permission to call him from the principal’s office and she cried happily saying that she can’t wait to see him, hug him and tell him how much she loves him. We will try to make kids' life at least better as much as we can. Ivy will mostly go with him since I'm pregnant and very moody.

It should have become evident by now, that love is an emotion, not an institution. 

Not too long ago, if gay parents wanted to adopt it was strictly forbidden because most orphanages were run by the church.

The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life.
 

What the people on the orphanage need to learn is that without a family, children, alone in the world, tremble with the cold.

What you have to offer is a family, maybe not a conventional family, but one built on love, trust, and mutual respect.

In our country, gay couples (male and female) still can't adopt the child. Love triangles such as ours belongs to the same category because we are still in middle dark age. Antonio's connections influenced on some members of the orphanage board who voted for us. The main role had two social workers. They are very powerful in our country. Their authority is so strong that if they estimate you aren't a good parent(s) they can take your biological child away from you. It is strange how many of them blindly follow the law not thinking what is best for the child. Stupid and moronic law and system. There are some researches that great majority of orphans ends up as bullies, thieves and vandals. Clothing, feeding and having the "roof" isn't enough for those kids. They need more: love and attention. Whenever I think of them I always remember Prince's father. Thank god he turned to good. And it just came to my mind. In 25 years of various kids that were in orphanage where he grew up (more then 5000 kids) only 3 of them had faculty, (Prince's father was among them), 1000 finished high school, and 80% of them became social problems, Isn't that sad?

 

As I said earlier, we won't and can't adopt Ena and Luka, but we will give them our love and financially help them as much as we can because they literary have nobody on earth but us. :)
