Catwoman WIP

It's about one year since I started modeling, so I thought I'd post a little progress update.   I'm currently working on some Catwoman gear. I modeled her catsuit spontaneously last week (MK I), then did some boots & gloves which were much higher quality than the catsuit, so I decided to make a new catsuit.   I may release this if there's any demand for it. Shell Texturing

I learned a nice little technique today called shell texturing. AFAIK, it's an old method of creating grass and fur, but it can be used for other things as well.   The basic concept is to texture a flat plane with dots, and then repeatedly duplicate that plane on top of itself. The dots piled on top of each other appear to merge into long strands.   I've seen a few Japanese modders using this technique. Wet Titties

Haven't updated this in a while again as I switched from UNPB to one of Guk's UUNP presets that I'm fairly certain noone else uses.   I did attempt to make some jewellery, without much success. Since then, I've improved at texturing, and learned how to make objects shimmer, so might try something again soon.   Jan is still here of course . I gave her a make-over; she had some stretched faces inside of her mouth which were repaired. I also slimmed her cheeks down, and gave her a sweet tan.

Grossly Incandescent Boots

I figured out how to make environment maps & cubemaps today. They're really great if you want a nice finish on your item:     And, you can also use them to blind your enemies:     On another note, I'm hoping to start modeling jewellery & gems. FavoredSoul is one of my favourite modders, and I would love to make some earrings or necklaces in the same style as these, so expect to see some of that coming soon.

I scrapped these boots a while ago as I wasn't happy with how they turned out, but I went back to them yesterday and made some edits, and I think they're pretty good now, so I'm sharing them.   I put them in Radiant Raiment. They're a special delivery maybe? You can just take 'em I guess... It would be so much cooler if you could add stuff to vendors. Just saying.   You need NiOverride (comes with RaceMenu) for the high-heel effect to work. (Oh, and of course, they're fit to UNPB.)   http

Hello I'm back again.   Haven't updated in aaages... I got a real job and was focusing on earning some cash, but then I lost my job, so now I have nothing to do again.   I carried on practicing modeling every day. My poly-counts are coming down and workflow is much cleaner... I'm making a big effort to get better at texturing as well.   The latex thing I was working on: I'll be redoing the top from scratch as it was practically impossible to convert to 0 weight due to some silly mistakes

Latex/Leather/Mashups

Dumping some latex & leather screens today. I've been playing around with meshes and creating some new ones, but nothing major. I think I have the hang of texture baking at last.   Also installed some awesome appearance mods, namely Seductive Lips HD and WellGram WarPaints (for realistic make-up), and some new skin textures.   I'd also like to thank the people who read & support my blog. I'm releasing some more boots today. I figured out how to work NIOverride (it's included with RaceMenu 2.0), so these ones have a proper high-heel effect.   They are fit to UNPB, but they work with other UNP/7B bodies too. You can get them via the console ("help sunbootsB" for the code), or use AddItemMenu.   The main texture is uncompressed, so it's HQ but quite large. I tried to compress it and it turned green... Maybe I used the wrong DXT? All these abbreviations make my head spin.   [

Finished a couple more pairs of boots. The last ones are my favourite so far; I really like making folds & creases. I'm trying to pick up texture baking, which creates the illusion of folds via the normal map, but I don't really understand how to do it (anyone know if it's even possible in 2.49b?).   Pics:     And a few kinky Jan shots.

This is the release of the Bone Collector gear. It's just a little experiment I did with editing & piecing together various existing meshes.   I decided to use slot 56 since it's more of an accessory than anything. You can combine it with other items for some cool outfits (pic 1). Just wanted to post an update to say that I'm still here. I haven't made any new entries recently because I've been spending so much time learning new things.   I played Dark Souls for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was blown away by the art. I pulled some of the models from the game to study (pic 6), and even managed to get one into Skyrim.   In the next blog entry I hope to release the "Bone Collector" outfit (pics 3, 4, 5). A few people wrote that the images in my previous entries were dead. Apparently this is because the assbutts at Imgur have blocked Loverslab. Putting the Bone Collector outfit on hold for now. It is ready to release as is, but I'm not entirely happy with the UV maps.   Yesterday I started on a new Indiana Jones-esque outfit which the pictures below are of. Been a little while since I made a post. I had some issues with Blender (mostly due to lack of practice), and then got frustrated and went on a Twilight Zone binge, but I'm back now. I finished the outfit I last posted about, and also made another from the futuristic stuff I was working on.   With the Persephone dress included, there are three outfits overall. Haven't been on much lately; I got hooked on Civ 4 again and can't tear myself away.   I'm attempting to make some more fantasy-medieval-style outfits, but they always end up looking modern.
