Help compiling mods for TS4

Dear God, it's happened. I clicked the SimLab page... and now I fear my Sims 4 will soon become a sex simulator just like my Skyrim.

 

But if it gets me to play the game I've invested $300 into... then sure! I need help though, as I haven't modded the Sims since TS2 (and I know it's nothing like modding Skyrim). 

 

So! What I'm hoping for is a close-to-vanilla feel of the game (i.e. no cc that is in a different style than the base game), and basically anything that makes the game worth playing again (game is more difficult, gameplay changes, whatever)... and maybe some realistic sex mods. And by maybe I mean probably. 

 

I'll do some browsing of the downloads pages but would love some feedback and some help getting set up
