Random Crashing

so i just started a playthough with skyrim and i notice that every few minutes skyrim decides to crash, ive used loot, looked through several forums and i cant seem to find a fix. i belive the problem is in the logs but im not quite sure what to look for...

Install Crash Fixes(search here on LL). Requires SKSE, but, i guess, you have it installed already. Crash Fixes will possibly report errors with message boxes or log em in "Data\SKSE\Plugins\CrashLog\"

UPDATE: Holds of skyrim seems to have an issue with Alternate start, this might be the cause of it.

Yes Crash fixes has help me.

 

However there is something else that I have noticed. Steam lovers will hammer me for saying.

 

  I almost exclusively always start steam in off line mode

 

I have noticed quite often, I would hazard a guess that 7 out of ten times that I have CTD'ed. Once I reach the desktop I look at the task bar, and there is the flashing steam Icon, telling me it wants to update.

 

  I personally have found that If I disconnect the internet, So steam even though I will start it in off line mode, cannot talk to its master, and then I start steam in off line Mode. I very seldom if ever CTD

 

   I find it odd that when I start steam almost always in off line mode ( which I would assume to mean that It was disconnected from the internet ), but if I leave the internet connected, steam some how communicates with my system, and flips and Icon into my task bar telling me It needs to update, when ever that is which seems to me to be far more than I would figure ever has to happen.

 

  Anyway for me disconnecting from the internet before I start steam, and running it in off line mode has improved my stability considerably.
