(Help) Nifskope cant load Fallout 4 meshes !

Hi

 

I get an interesting problem.

 

When I tired to use Nifskope for loading Fallout 4 meshes, I get that message :

 

""failed to load file header (version 14020007, 20.2.0.7)""

"failed to load nif from 'C:/Users/Richard/Downloads/fALLOUT 4 MODS/deathclaw_CBBE_files/Data/Meshes/deathclaw/dc_body_alpha.nif'"

I tested with meshes from other mods : same problem !

 

 

I checked with skyrim, fallout new vegas and morrowind meshes : no problems at all !

You sure you are using version 2 of NifScope?

in case you have multiple versions, when double clicking on the NIF file it may open it with the wrong version.

 

Try to start NIFSkope, and from it, open the nif file.

Yes that sounds like you are using the normal nifskope and not nifskope 2.0. If you have both versions just run the nifskope 2.0 .exe and then double click a fallout 4 nif and a new nifskope 2.0 will load up with the fallout 4 nif in it. The normal nifskope is probably set up as the default one so whenever you click on a nif it loads up and tries to load the nif but if you have nifskope 2.0 open it'll open the nifs with it instead.
