Some curious crashes while loading

So. I can create a new game, set everything up. Save, exit game launch and load it up again no problem. However, 2-3 hours later whenever I try to load the game, it crashes nearing the end of the loading sequence.

 

I'm using Mod Organizer. SKSE 1.7.3 ENB 305, using LOOT and wrye bash

I've tried using the Papyrus Data Transfer to clean the save, but no success. It's weird since it works if I launch back up no problem, but coming back to it later, it always ctd loading. I'm at a loss as to what can cause this.

Lots of people have this exact issue. More scripts running, and more data to load from save file = higher chance of crash when loading from main menu.

 

Solution is to load an 'easy' save first ( or just open console from main menu and enter coc ctest ), which will allocate most of the memory Skyrim needs, allowing you to safely load your intended save.

Ah, if it still crashes then, you're probably maxing your save file's string count, which corrupts the save permanently. Read this thread for details: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/56588-corrupted-saves/

Indeed I seem to hit string limit, just checked with TESV ESSE. Thanks a lot for the help <3

Have you tried loading the game when you get to the new game/load game screen hit the ~ key and type in coc qasmoke this will warp you to the games testing hall from there bring up the load save page and select the save you are trying to load. If it loads up then great if it doesn't and still crashes then that will mean that there is something wrong in the save.

 

Not sure if a save cleaner would work or not.

Best thing I do is make a save game (Using alternate start mod) inside the jail cell where there's not much information to be processed when loading that save up. Wait a few moments after the load and then load your intentional save. I do this every time and have no issues.
