And now it turns out that "I might be a synth" is a legitimate Plot from Far Harbour.

 

They don't take it very far but its there.  I'm certainly running with it in my favourite playthrough.

Also i have that amazing idea about a Marcy/Jun Long suicide bomber squad genetically modified to not have vocal chords. 

 

There is an early version of a death alternative mod on the nexus. Maybe you can get some insight over there.

 

Also since DocClox mentioned custom faces: LooksMenu adds the option to make character presets and saves them as .json in the F4SE plugins folder.

I guess that would work? The presets can use non vanilla stuff.

Atm there is a problem saving them when using Mod Organizer. Loading/Overwriting works fine.
