Perfect Load Order, what is wrong?

Hey guys. Im having problem here, my game is crashing[shock!] but still, after diagnosing this a little i know that

- I dont have script lag. Convinient Horses confirmed that.

- My Ram is just okay, i when i play this is not exceeding 1.7-2000.

- I am using Performance textures, and i have modded textures applied on ordinatored vannila and mod textures. So its no high gpu use

- My card got 1 gb vram. - Its not much, i know but this is not an issue. When i played long time ago with ton of mods everything was just fine, no crashes that much[that was long time ago before dragonborn so game was less stable,]

 

Now, i just dont know what is causing this. I was starting new game i got LAL so its not the intro start thingy.

Im posting here my Load order, maybe you will diagnose the problem. Maybe its problem with mods, load order, optimisition on that part. I just dont know. I used loot, then used guides from mods how to place them. Then i used wrye bash to make very ORANGE i got GREEN.[except a few, but they dont matter, its EEO patch and it wants me to place dragonborn before dawnguard for whatever reason.]

If anyone got any ideas what is wrong, i would realy apriciate help.

 

I can post my INI's if someone is interested but i didint messed with uGridstoLoad and cellbuffer.

starting a new game with ALOT of mods enabled will usually cause issues, only have the basic needed ones till you get out of the cave at the start and slowly and surly add a few at a time, test, save and repeat.

 

as for load order, its pretty messed up it would be easier to read if you bunched similar esps together (my opinion :P)

 

plus this is my own opinion.. but you got esm's below esps? esm's should be at the top first, then after esm's the essential stuff first like fnis, racemenu, skyui, exetended ui, xpmse, hdt stuff

this is not an issue

 

1 gig of vram is absolutely an issue.

 

Hothtrooper is also an issue, ESPECIALLY with only 1 gig of vram.

 

 

What 27X said. 1GB is very very little for adding any real graphical mods. You absolutely need to upgrade your card to at least 4GB to get any real experience with modding Skyrim.

 

 

Its not an issue becouse i said i got my textures resized to 1k and even less...

And i dont need to have more to play modded skyrim. I didint needed before, and i dont need now. Before Dragonborn i was able to stay stable at having 200 mods IA,IW without crashes at all. Its a must have. Remember, im not playing on ultra, Still i used UNPB conversions of Immersive armors and found that they are somewhat a little lighter than these armors was before. No empty meshes autor of conversions was saying.

 

But still, i understand  your point. Explain me, why its an issue, becouse textures are high res? If yes, then my are not hi res, resized and bsa size is lowered more than 50%. Still, its not like every Hoth trooper armor is appearing on screen all the time. Hell, i didint even saw 60% of them propably even that i played game a lot long time ago and now. I realy dont get whats wrong with IA? I heard people got problems with that but it realy can be it? Why?

 

That esp thing. Yea, this can be an issue but, yea i can change this, its only wyrmstooth but i doubt this is making random crashes on save/load or something.

 

Still crashes on save load are preety weird and i just dont know why it is like it is.

 

Mods that i found that can be an issue is 3dnpc, last year i played this i was getting crashes with that, same now.

I know it would be better to read but thing is the ones that are messed up are messed up for a reason. ETAC for instance. EEO and its requiem patches.

Well, im always playing LAL, so these scripts things dont concern me that much becouse im not gettin that starting intro in helgen.Im letting ALL scripts to load in the first cell/second cell.

 

Still, concerning load order again. What should i merge, and what should i not. What can cause an issue, and what should not. It can be ESP limit for my hardware.

When i played PerMa i got even higher resolution textures higher setting than i have now, even more demanding texture mods like porcelain vampires + simillar mods i have now. I merged them, truth. Still, there was much less crashes.

 

Crashes mostly occur on save/load when i dont know. Script error after load? Maybe, Sometimes crash just for no reason happens when i just run throu the wild, but its rarely.

Okay, next thing. with my actuall settings, with this setup im having stable 30-40 fps in slightly modded whiterun+ my mods. I got 30-60 in the wild. and nearly always stable 50-60 in interiors of all kind. Excluding of course Helgen becouse helgen just always lags for me in few places.

Hothtrooper + 3DNPC on 1 gig of vram is an issue whether you choose to admit it or not.

 

Opinion does not change physics, or how Skyrim loads things.

 

Okay. I get it, but still, why it is and issue? Still, saying something is an issue, just becouse it is is not going help too. I have to know why.

And still, this is not explaining why i was getting less crashes on nearly same setup with perma + wet% cold.

 

I know my vram is not high but well, saying everything on that is not a solution. Its kind of something else[i forgot the right word to us here]

 

Situation with these crashes looks like this im playing im gettin crash, fine load game, its fine i play more, nothing happens, runnin in town, camp, frostfall on nothing happens. Then im going to fight, i die... i load game, die, load die load die load... crash.I dont have auto save feature here, when  i die im dead no loading screen, right. I have to load manually, and thats fine. Sometimes im gettin crash on death, sometimes on load here.

I dont have ANY problem with loading existing save ANYWHERE in the world.

As far as my knowledge goes, Orange colored mod names in Wrye bash means that the master is not sorted.

 

In order to fix that simply load the plugin(.esp file) in TES5EDIT and select "Sort Masters" then save it. After you do that with all mods(that had orange name) redo(Rebuild) the Bashed Patch.

As far as my knowledge goes, Orange colored mod names in Wrye bash means that the master is not sorted.

 

In order to fix that simply load the plugin(.esp file) in TES5EDIT and select "Sort Masters" then save it. After you do that with all mods(that had orange name) redo(Rebuild) the Bashed Patch.

 

 

I know what it means, i can sort it by just sorting plugins, but i didint knew about tes5edit sort masters and i will check it out.

I dont have Bashed Patch, becouse Requiem strictly says. Dont use Bashed patch becouse Reqtificator is doing THE SAME thing, but it is also making world unleveled[if i want] And i belive that becouse it works by patching only selected things with req modifer into unleveled leveled list. Not talking about dmg and other balancing stuff

Okay, i did some testing.

I loaded up new character. started all mods including frostfall, started on modded area, got frozen after few fights on tgm. Traveled to castle Volkhiar[some bug in the distance but nothing serious, everything loaded when i came closer] Okay everything went fine, then i traveled to riften by coc. Killed few guards, stole horse traveled all the way to iverstead without FPS drops with many encounters on the way[no script lag at all checked it with convinient horses] My horse died on the way, but then i found another. I traveled to windhelm killed something on the road. Then i coc'ed myself to whiterun hold, and everything was fine. Im was using my memory usage by elys meminfo. And it says vram 4096 but i know that i dont have that much. I got 6gb normal ram, and  ram usage never exceeded 2k. At best it was like 1,8. Even in bigger fights its not more than 2k

I crashed but it wasnt couse of death or something else, i crashed becouse of a bug, i traveled with a horse into interior and i frozen at horse pose.

But still, i was checking possibilites, and i know  that im not using everything that much in normal playing so Im betting that if i would just run to whiterun everything would be fine.

 

The problem is, im getting crashes mostly after death on loading on just on death[not the first one of course] in low amount of time. Thats the problem. I know, esp limit can cause this too, i want to optimise it but i dont know how yet. I bet being under 100 is best posibility but what of my mods are managable to merge.

Today i saw something new.

Made new game, new character. Started playing, played a little and died in cave many times, more than ten. Game crashed. ram usage was never above 1.5 this time.

But more important i got problem with MCM menu, every mod i had loaded, but ESF:aela stoped loading after first time. Some others didint worked, blank page, or i couldnt change binded key for whatever reason. It is possible that i get too much mcm menu mods?

Hi, Istill I notice that you are using skyrim borders disabled in your load order not that it will cause any issues

 

just as you use MO it is redundant unless a mod is speciffically requesting the mod?

 

anyway if it isn't just use the configurator (puzzle) icon in MO click general then the button that says basic

 

then just click where it has a tick by bBorderRegionsEnabled & save

 

also something that may help you a little with vram is to turn off HDR water don't know if you have tried this but it

helped me (again can be done in MO configurator)

 

Just make sure you make a note of what you change incase your edits go wrong that way you can change it back if needed

 

I only have 1gb of vram on my pc & can play over 2hrs at a time + is a very weak pc for skyrim!!

I do get fairly rare ctd's & freezing (freezing due to the fact that I still use autosave on travel)

 

as for 3dnpc I did try it but unfornunately for me while it is great it was way too much for my pc so was causing

lots of ctd's around places edited (or close) as well as random ctd's like I said my pc

 

for troubleshooting just enable a few mods +any requirments at a time then play for a while when you are happy

that is stable load a few more & repeat until you find out which one's are causing ctd's

 

also you say that a lot of ctd's are on load?

 

well you could look up how to change the memory settings for your SKSE.ini as this is how RAM memory is patched

now. you may be able to up your personal settings to reduce this.

 

Again I would advise to backup before you change it so you can revert to the original if needs be.

 

My only other suggestion would be to look up http://wiki.step-project.com/Main_Page they have masses of useful info including a list with

Well, most of that i have already done.

 

Still, the on load ctd its not the normal ''i cannot load save'' its mostly in place where reloading of the cell and restoring happening like loading a game 10th time after death in the same place.

I am using memory settings, and the ones i have now are pretty much stable[i can never be sure]

But still, its realy hard to test what is working and what is not. Its not like it would take a day. You know testing 1 settings of mod my take realy much time[runn around... die..] And the repeat.

Still, about HDR water, can you tell me a bit more?

will need to disable through the configurator there is a section for water (advanced gives lot of options to toggle)

 

for your issue reloading in the same place you could try loading a copy of a save that is clean i.e no mods then

load the troublesome save. I keep one from riverwood after escaping helgen + complete intro quest for this purpose.

 

that usually clears up any problem as for loading, I know that you are saying it's not startup load crash

which this is the advice for but still sounds like it might be worth a shot!

iI just spent two days doing just that as I did a complete reinstall of skyrim just for peace of mind.

Well, sadly its not worth a shot, you know, i dont have problems with loading a saves, thats the whole trick.

I can load every save, but after many deaths/load im just getting ctd. After some time playing and death this can also happen.

 

Still, this testing would take me even more than 2 days xd. You know, at least 1 hour to test it one time, i mean in normal play style[becouse thats how i should check it] Stressing it out to the max and making situations i wont see in normal game is no point for me.

I had that problem with loading saves some time ago but safety load and memory edits fixed that. Im gonna check these new enboost setting which is famous lately tommorow after i end studying. Still, i dont know if this gonna work but i will tell about my proggres, but still before i test i have to make my load order work after some changes. Thing is Requiem was always crashing for me for no reason after deaths year ago even withouth death and... I took sperg now and its kinda lighter with few other mods.

 

I tried to merge some plugins but this didint work the way i wanted.

Hi again been doing a bit of digging to double check, safety load & ssme are replaced by the SKSE.ini file as of SKSE 1.7.0

I know you are not using the referenced mod but sounds like may be a skyrim bug in general!

 

the only other way to find a troublesome mod is to disable one at a time starting with mods that you think could be responsible

until the issue goes away. (copy a save to new profile & use to try find that way?)

 

the only drawback with that method is you will probably need to use a save game cleaner after removing it especially if it has scripts in it.

unless you have a save with no or minimal mods with no issue & just miss out a suspected mod just to be extra cautious you can hide

inactive esp etc in workarounds tab in MO.

i can always do new game to try it. Still,

About Skse and memory patches, safety load... There are many informations and bad infos. I dont know who is right but i know that, my game works better with them than without. But the weird thing is for me there are many options that change the same thing including smme skse ini and few other thing. But thing is, somehow, it is better.

It can be skyrim bug in general but, its just weird, i would realy like to have longer loading screen after death but the game is not freeing all ram it seems.

My recommendation is this: Use Skyrim Performance Monitor to check VRam and GPU usage, if either is running at or near 100% constantly change some settings to reduce it a bit. Also, start checking your papyrus logs for errors especially when you notice things like MCM menu's not working, just because you don't see problems in the game does not mean there are not errors happening in the background that will damage your save.

 

As for VRam amount, 1GB is rather small, I used a 2GB GPU with 1k and less textures and still ran near max on VRam.

Okay. I used performance monitor, and i am not suprised. Vram never exceeded more than 850.

Hell, i got even screenshot. Game juzt froze after maybe 20 deaths in carnage of riften with unkillable brynjolf.

 

And for even more testing purpose i didint finished my load order, i mean i didint finalize few things to make even more posibility for game to crash. And nothing like that happened, hell i even used save with orphan scripts for that. The thing is, im starting to thinking that it may be something with papyrus and reloading scripts after death.

 

After i was dying constantly from second to second vram was exceeding a little for like 5-10 but then was dropping in loading screen.

Thing is i got gpu usage at 99 but it was like for a second, two, then was dropping a little when there where so many effects, and arrow flying... that kind of thing don happen in normal play.

CPU also in the moment where like 20 person were alerted chasing me through riften shooting at me with spells and arrows and you know, just fighting. Its much more than in normal play at the same excact moment.

In testing here, i dont know if my fps locks and other stuff worked becouse i was getting like 110 at moments from my fps counter and 60-20 from monitor.

Still i was runing d3d9 not enb yet .

 

Yea i will try to monitor papyrus now, but still, im waiting comment on this. With papyrus, tehre will be many shitty logs, but still before i check papyrus i will finalize my game.
