Blender is totally useless

Ok, I suceed to dot that :

- import a skyrim nif (by suing nifskope)

- import a morrowind meshe (the ascender sleeper)

But I still cant made any modification...

So, how I can made what I want in that damn program ?

Another stupid thing with that program : Nifskope can't recognize Nif produced by blender !

Edit : maybe I found an alternative :

I suceed to extract the head of the Ascended sleeper, and to rescale it in Nifskope to made it fit with the female headmeshe.

The problem is now that one : how to make this a functionnal helmet ? Every objects have bones and things like that....

I tried to import the ascended sleeper part into the female head NIf. I fitted the tentacle head on the female head, and I deleted the female head. But CK says the NIF is not good (the big red square)... and there is also the texture problem. I have the original texture from morrowind, and gimp...

I tried to replace the nif of a mask by the ascended sleeper head (imported as object), it's worked, I repositionned the tentacle head, but CK dont recognize that : he says there are errors with the bones.

Try this , Unfortunately you do need to edit it an 3d software , Both Max and Blender is Free , But if you are going Skyrim better to Get the Student Version , the Nif Plugins support new versions of Max 2013/2014/2015/2015

Its more Skyrim Friendly

Blender is more Oblivion/FO/FONV/ Friendly

I haven't tested it in game but it should work , make sure U use Slot 55

Have skinned it to the single head Bone more like a mask , gag etc

Cheers

It's not fit perfectly with the hood (see the pictures) but it's work !

You're a wizard !

How did you do that ? I will need to make several of them... and to fit them, of course ! Maybe there is an option to smooth it...

And another question please : how you make textures for that? For now It's using a random texture, but I wish to make it use the original one (maybe more clear)

If the UV maps for the Mesh aren't messed up ( they shouldnt be ), you can still use its original texture .

Convert it to skyrim dds and place them in the Skyrim texture folders , and direct the Nif to use them is all

Some a little more tight fitting and one according to a standard hood

Thanks a lot !

It's fitting perfectly !

How I can convert the texture ?

The picture I uploaded was with morrowind texture. As you saw, the result is ok. Maybe working it a little in Gimp can made it better (making it paler or same tone as dunmer skin)

You're definitly a wizard ! You did you do that ? How long it token to you ?

I passed a week to try to make an apple in Blender, and I was unable to export it as a nif available for Skyrim!

In fact, I hope to made the ashghoul and some tentacular face by using the same way... I don't want to annoy you, so it's why I wish to succeed to made it myself.

K if its a morrow mind texture it should work just fine ^^.

Well I used 3ds Max this time since , it involves skinning to one bone, no need of weight paints and hardcore rigging , took me less than 10 mins  to do both.

Cant promise , send me the Nif files here lets see what I can do

Zaz, this is unrelated to the topic but how do you do your animations?

I have 3ds Max 2015 for nif edits but Havok Content tools installs scripts for 3ds max versions up to 2014 only. I have tried using the 2014 scripts with my 2015 version of 3ds max only to encounter errors on start... possibly you had some means of working around this while creating your animation pack?

If you are making , Character animations for Skyrim better to use ( you can only use )  3ds max 2012/10

a good way to start is this thread

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/39996-3ds-max-skyrim-video-animation-tutorial/

That being said I used blender for most animations its a tedious process , its much easier to use max given all the resources presesnt

Cheers

I tried using it, it said I needed to install nif plugins. But upon installing nif plugins from the nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5622/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D5622&pUp=1 , 3ds max refuses to start with error.

I'm installing for 3ds max 2010 (which is the version I have installed) using the checkbox menu, but I still get this error. Why?

Don't take this the wrong way, but this whole thread is hilarious only for the fact that I feel exactly the same way about blender, it's shit with shitty controls, made for martians hands and ideas. I can't believe anyone would design and interface like that, it's just the worst if you ask me.

Sorry, had to comment, have fun and I hope you get it working. :)

I'm not sure ..........Im using 2012 64bit version , but you can try manually installing the plugin in the plugins directory .

There maybe a plugin by wix also on the nexus , you can use that if you are only animating

Cheers

Yes, blender is very hard to control...

Even matlab is simpler (the persons here who know matlab or Sybyl will laugh....)

Hi

Thanks ZAZ for thr ghould mask !

There is the last project : the ascended form of Chaur Tegoth.

I'm thinking about a mix between a chaurus, and Dagoth Ur.

So, dagoth Ur :

http://images.google.fr/imgres?imgurl=http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/villains/images/2/25/Dagoth_Ur.jpg/revision/latest%3Fcb%3D20131223182142&imgrefurl=http://villains.wikia.com/wiki/Dagoth_Ur&h=590&w=490&tbnid=Uv5lqrnxBMuLbM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=75&docid=VbZJoul_FrTi3M&usg=__KrC9P0qgVagEsi3vFPYsdmUDJ-U=&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi4wZ6Co5vLAhXBAJoKHa2sDGUQ9QEIKDAD

Chaurus armor :

http%3A%2F%2Fvignette4.wikia.nocookie.net%2Felderscrolls%2Fimages%2F8%2F89%2FFalmerheavyarmor.jpg%2Frevision%2Flatest%253Fcb%253D20140511005026&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Felderscrolls.wikia.com%2Fwiki%2FFalmer_Heavy_Armor&h=450&w=600&tbnid=iEpV1YbGQLwa5M%3A&docid=Rxj4fnop6RwtUM&ei=jlXTVr6DBITN6QTX1IXwBg&tbm=isch&iact=rc&uact=3&dur=2667&page=3&start=32&ndsp=16&ved=0ahUKEwi-gtyho5vLAhWEZpoKHVdqAW4QrQMImAEwJw

And the mix :

Falmer option

http://images.google.fr/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2F41.media.tumblr.com%2F8db590efd2470612b74de7714df260a8%2Ftumblr_n8eem5C2b71sebltro3_1280.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcolonelkillabee.tumblr.com%2Fpost%2F91152858175%2Ffalmer-and-chaurus-concept-art-by-adam-adamowicz&h=1053&w=920&tbnid=5dn1EgbWMdMmzM%3A&docid=ixFkf5I5tsfKkM&ei=jlXTVr6DBITN6QTX1IXwBg&tbm=isch&iact=rc&uact=3&dur=407&page=3&start=32&ndsp=16&ved=0ahUKEwi-gtyho5vLAhWEZpoKHVdqAW4QrQMIlQEwJg

I could make the feets and hands by using the chaurus armor meshes and textures... but what about the head/Mask ? The idea is to make somehting between Dagoth Ur and the chaurus helmet... yes, great ancients powaaa !
