Crash after Starting an Animation

Hello all,

 

Im having a little Problem with the whole Sexout mod,

everything is running fine, I can start the game, run around, everything, until I want to start a Sex scene, (or a Mod trys to bring me to that scene).

The Animation works for all NPCS (Tryed it with the brutalRape Male on Male and Female on Male, they started the scene without causing any problems) , only when I change the settings to Male on Female, they are running towards my Char, she gets undressed and then the Game crashes.

The Same Problem with the Character Mastrubation Animation or the Sexout Tryout Mod, conversation works good but then again it Crashes before the animation can start.

I changed the Undress and Bodysuit Options without any changes.

I made a New Game and Tryed it just with the Sexout.esm activated, again with the Sexout and SexoutCommonRessources.esm, and nothing changes, the Game Crashes every Time I hit the Mastrubation hotkey.

I have Installed everything with FOMM, and I read the Threads from the Mods i Downloaded, but please tell me If i had overread something.

 

I would be Happy to become some Help, I reinstalled verything again and again..but It did not work.

Are you sure you have installed NVSE and the NVSE extender?

What version of NV are you using? I know ultimate edition can cause some problems. Make sure your using the new version of the Fallout mod manager which completely supports NV. If you have problems let us know I had this issue for a while and it stopped suddenly.

Im Using The Steam Version of NV, so it should be the last version

 

Edit: And Im using the last Version of Fomm , 0.13.21 from the Nexus site

I have a couple questions.

 

First, how repeatable are these symptoms?

 

For example, is there any possibility that the crash is because of the animation chosen for you instead of the crash being because of you being a participant?

 

Second, you have a lot of mods there -- would you be willing to try disabling most of them (except for SexoutNG.esm), and having that character try to masturbate? This will help to determine which kind of problem you have (Does SexoutNG need to be fixed? Or is it one of your other mods?)

I can only Say that the Crash occurs directly after an NPC reachs me, so I dont know what excactly happens.

 

I Disabled any other Mods, run the Game just with the Sexout Mods (first only one Mod then two, then three, any time the same crash), with my Loaded Save Game and a New Game.

 

The Sexus mod for NV instead works fine with its Animations (Just a little Bug here and then when a monster trys to hit me during a scene)

PS: And I made a Clean Install again, deinstalled every Mod via Fomm and deleted every Meshes/Textures out of my data folder, started only with the new installed Sexout mods, and still it crashes.

So are you saying that it does not consistently happen when you masturbate? Only when you have an npc approach you?

 

And I am confused if it happens when SexoutNG.esm is your only mod installed. Can you initiate sex with only that installed and nothing else? If nothing else, you can use this approach: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=3198&pid=61210#pid61210

Ok, if you are telling us that using only SexoutNG.esm this happens consistently then you have one of two problems:

 

Either

A: you have not installed everything you need, or

B: something that you installed was damaged.

 

I am guessing that the problem is B.

 

If you have installed something damaged, I think that the right solution is to reinstall everything that SexoutNG needs.

However... I just noticed that you had MoonShadowRace.esp in your mod list. If you are getting the crashes with MoonShadowRace.esp installed then this might mean something else. The crashes might be because you did not install the proper skeleton for the animations to use for your race. MoonShadowRace may cause additional problems (which I do not understand, there are many things I do not understand about how Sexout works...). But at the very least, you need to have the skeleton properly installed before the animations can play.

Ouch.

 

(And I noticed that while the package is SexoutNG, the actual esm is Sexout.esm -- I am sorry about that, you do not need my mistakes confusing things further.)

 

But I have another question for you, if you have enough patience left to keep working on this: When you are running FOMM, if you start up FNVEdit from the tools menu, and let it load up all of your mods, does it report any errors in the messages region, or can it load all of your mods without problems?

I Tryed running FNVEdit while running FOMM and it doesnt report any errors and can load anything without problems, it seems like NV dont want that Mod

I thought that it must be the skeleton wich doesnt work, so I tryed two different wich where Posted in this Forum, still no chance...and all Npcs uses the Same and had Sex without any Problems, so I thought that i missed some ressource, but I have anything...really anything, every Mod posted, Optional or Required, and again, every Npcs is having no Problems, so...

I have stopped thinking about that and just play F3 now...Sexus has not so many features, but its Easyier and doesnt let anything crash.

I can second this problem. Any time an animation using Sexout should happen, I get an instant CTD, either by masturbation or by approach. No animation works. That vibrator-thing works, but that is not an animation, is it...

I went through all the motions: clean save, redownload, even clean new install. I use up-to-date FOMM and NVSE, the extender is the newest from here and in place.

It all just leads up to one and one only conclusion: Something between the sexout esm and the extender goes loopy. Even on a bare minimum installation sexout crashes FNV with the extender in place as soon as an animation should be played. The difference between the extender in place and the extender not present can easily be told - without the extender he animation is not happening, with the extender in place I get a CTD.

I have followed all advice, which can be found here plenty, but I can only trace the error back to something I can't fix. Please do so, as I really like your work otherwise, and would like to use it again for playing instead of a quick way of quitting the game.

I run Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition (Version 1.4.0.525, kept up to date by Steam) on a Win7/64 SP1.

Not even on the same partition as the standard path "program files". As I do with all games, to be able to use mods without THAT particular hassle. And, no, the "program files" path is not redirected to that location. I sort my programs manually to where they should go. (Another reason to loathe Steam.)

Please... blame Microsoft for the problems behind these two issues. Steam is one of the many victims here.

But none of this solves your crashing problem.

 

If you leave out the step where you install the skeleton.nif that could cause the problem you are describing. The animations support "bouncing" breasts, which means that there are animation bones named breast.L and breast.R which must be present to be animated -- if they are missing, the game crashes. And the way the animation system works is: your race's skeleton gets driven by the animations and that in turn is used to render your body and/or armor. (Skeleton is common data that they decided would be silly to require in all meshes.)

*sigh* Yes, skeleton IS installed. Bouncing works, also. The problem is firmly narrowed down to when sexout seems to call something from the nvse extender. Which is in place - if the extender is NOT in place, animations simply don't happen, without crash.

 

And I blame Steam not for UAC, which is an only-half-thought-through, badly executed attempt at security by M$, I blame Steam for "Oh, you want to choose where you install your game? trollolol, no, I put it in some subsubsub-directory of Steam!" Even though I can chose where I put Steam, the resulting file structure is too deep for my taste, and an utter chaos. If I don't let my OS tell me where to put my programs, I certainly don't like some program in the aspect that it doesn't even stop to ask where to put them.

You should be able to masturbate using the y key, I believe that is enabled by default.

 

However, even if this were not possible, the sexout download post has a reference to a post which explains how to test sex animations.

 

 

 

One issue with UAC is that not only are there multiple conflicting views for some folders, but Windows Explorer does not give us a good mechanism for seeing all of those views.

 

But for steam, yes... I like to be able to install bethesda mods in ...Documents\My Games\gamename\data\
