ZetsuboSeishin Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Hello, I know how much tiring it is to look up the possible fixes we have for the CTDs and performance drops. We all know seshons memory patch by now, but there are many other fixes which will help the new people coming to modding or using the mods, if we gather all the fixes in one particular place and update it as new fixes arrive. We do not need to give them a guide for the fixes, just showing them the way to those fixes. The makers of those fixes provides a guide which is really helpful most of the time, so there is no need to make a step by step guide.Lets make an all list of fixes topic. I am relatively new to the forum world, so I do not know much about it. So, I am asking some experienced people to please help me with this. The fact that we still need to do an extensive search on fixes and other stuffs when the skyrim modding community is so big, saddens me. I hope I am speaking for everyone here when I say how much of a chore it was to gather the fixes you need.I hope I will get the positive response from the nice helpful people in the community who is giving their all to mod this game without getting much in return.Thank you.
Leeeeeroy Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 theres a .txt to download at nexus with many stuff you can do to increase stabillity, with stuff regarding what to and not to change on .ini, pc related stuff, mods to increase performance, broken mods, etc, etc, etc. It's pretty good, i just can't remember it's name but it's probably not to hard to find also here on loverslab theres a topic with the same kind of info
blabba Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 The amount of errors is innumerable. It also depends on what mods your installing etc... In most cases a lot of mods already come with detailed description and debugging info on their pages that nobody bothers to read. The more common errors are already well documented and easily searchable in google. (They are common because these are user errors) Best thing to do, you encounter a new problem or error, you make a thread for it somewhere, with a good helpful title that describes the problem. This way people can google it up easier.

I even discovered the two more fixes yesterday. So, the fixes I am talking about are the more general one. The fixes 90% of the mod users should install.
DUBALADO Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 The main problem with Skyrim, is to believe that 300 mods do not generate problems, the less .esp assets have is always better. The independence between the mods or less reliance is essential ...The maximum error that causes CTD, lag, and other problems is to modify the real essence of the game a game of action, bloody and violent ... in a pornographic fantasy. do not get me wrong, including sexual mods are required for immersion, but should not be aiming to play Skyrim. Some solutions I found:Massive lag in Battle for Whiterun, SolitudeCyniclyPink, on July 24, 2013 - 6:06 a.m., said: Did You Have an ENB and uninstalled it? If so you need to change a couple of settings in your skyrim.ini file. This worked for me. Edit this line to read "fPostLoadUptimeMS = 800" (WITHOUT QUOTES) then see if you Have This line "fExtraTaskletBudgetMS = 2000" If you do, delete it. uptower Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Problem is what works on one PC/mod combo might not work on another. A fix to one crash might cause another. there's no universal perfect combination, everyone has to work out their own.
