Kaladarm Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 I'm stuck with a bug atm and I've seen a few pics of others who are experiencing the same issues - it's with regards to pistols no longer sitting in the default holster position. All such weapons now sit on my character's hip, angled backwards. I am using the popular Weapon Animations Replacer and the FOMOD adaptation provided by Gopher but nothing else in my mod list will be affecting where weapons sit. From watching his vids, it appears he's not experiencing the bug and I'm mostly using the same ones as he's listed, although with a little more personalisation (T6M Body Replacer etc). I've attempted to counter this with a mod that changes the default pistol position to better fit holsters but that placed it a little too far down the leg, so I removed it and am back at square one. Any help/tips/advice would be greatly appreciated I should probably add that I've run the whole lot through LOOT and after a tiny bit of tinkering, I've ended up with a Load Order as follows: GameMode=FalloutNVFalloutNV.esm=1DeadMoney.esm=1HonestHearts.esm=1OldWorldBlues.esm=1LonesomeRoad.esm=1GunRunnersArsenal.esm=1CaravanPack.esm=1ClassicPack.esm=1MercenaryPack.esm=1TribalPack.esm=1YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm=1Interior Lighting Overhaul - Core.esm=1Advanced Recon Tech.esm=1Sortomatic.esm=1Detect Traps.esm=1New Vegas Redesigned 3.esm=1ELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esm=1FCOMaster.esm=1AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm=1MikotoBeauty.esm=1Gomorrah Redesigned.esp=1NVInteriors_Core.esm=1NVInteriors_ComboEdition_AWOP.esm=1NVInteriors_ComboEdition.esm=1oHUD.esm=1Project Nevada - Core.esm=1Project Nevada - Equipment.esm=1ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esm=1Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp=1SomeguySeries.esm=1T6M Equipment Replacer NV.esm=1The New Bison Steve Hotel.esm=1Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp=1NevadaSkies.esm=1NVR-Strip.esm=1Afterschool Special.esm=1YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).esp=1The Mod Configuration Menu.esp=1LFox Missing Ammo Recipes HH DLC.esp=1Advanced Recon Tech.esp=1ammoingredientsloot.esp=1FCO - GlowingOne.esp=1Alternative Repairing - Breakdown Item Icons.esp=1Project Nevada - Honest Hearts.esp=1Boacombat2glove.esp=1boa ncrpahelmet.esp=1DarNifiedUINV.esp=1Improved Ballistics Effects V2.esp=1Advanced Recon Range Finder.esp=1LFox Missing Ammo Recipes.esp=1Burning CampFire.esp=1DYNAVISION 3.esp=1BlackWolf Backpack - Vendor Script Replenish.esp=1Centered 3rd Person Camera - Unraised.esp=1The Weapon Mod Menu.esp=1CASM.esp=1LFox Missing Ammo Recipes GRA DLC.esp=1Project Nevada - Gun Runners' Arsenal.esp=1Detect Traps - Perk.esp=1EVE FNV - ALL DLC.esp=1NVR-Version_10.esp=1Interior Lighting Overhaul - Ultimate Edition.esp=1FlashlightNVSE.esp=1pipboy2500_edisleado.esp=1ILO - Fallout New Vegas.esp=1Advanced Recon Armor.esp=1Detect Traps - Traponator 4000.esp=1ILO - NVInteriors Project - AWOP.esp=1kochandbohr.esp=1True Leaning.esp=1OWB HeadGear MOD Hair Fix.esp=1Project Nevada - Dead Money.esp=1Project Nevada - Lonesome Road.esp=1T6M Dead Money Armor.esp=1Vurt's WFO.esp=1New Vegas Redesigned 3.esp=1AWOPLowLootGeneral.esp=1outsidebets.esp=1Pacersgambit.esp=1AWOP-LowNPCS.esp=1AWOP-LowNPCSWastelandOnly.esp=0NewVegasBounties.esp=1NewVegasBountiesII.esp=1WeaponModsExpanded.esp=1EVE FNV - NO GRA.esp=0ILO - A World of Pain.esp=1Alternative Repairing.esp=1T6M Under Wear.esp=1Alternative Repairing - NVInteriors.esp=1ClearWindows.esp=1Advanced Recon Armor-Location Doc Mitchell.esp=1LFox Bottle That Water.esp=1Alternative Repairing - Bottle That Water.esp=1EVE FNV - NO DLC.esp=0dD - Enhanced Blood Main NV.esp=1RWD-NV v1.4 [standard Version].esp=1T6M Combat Uniform NV.esp=1WMX-DLCMerged.esp=1T6M Old World Blues Replace PN.esp=1AWOPDeadMoney.esp=1NevadaSkies - TTW Edition.esp=0NVR-NPCs.esp=1betsybrahmin.esp=1BlackWolf Backpack.esp=1rotfacetoriches.esp=1christinecos.esp=1NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.esp=1Alternative Repairing - Ultimate Edition.esp=1Project Nevada - Old World Blues (No Cyberware).esp=1T6M Old World Blues Replace.esp=1WMX-ArenovalisTextures.esp=1Project Nevada - WMX.esp=1Project Nevada - EVE All DLC.esp=1Project Nevada - EVE No DLC.esp=0Project Nevada - EVE No GRA.esp=0WMX-EVE-AllDLCMerged.esp=1WMX-POPMerged.esp=1NCR Rearmament v1.5 (Lore).esp=1Advanced Recon Gear.esp=1Advanced Recon Gear-Locations Doc Mitchell.esp=1QS_Blackwolf_NV_Backpackmod.esp=1avangraffscorned.esp=1MikotoBeauty.esp=1AWOPLowLootMWeaponsArmor.esp=1AWOPLowLootMWeapons.esp=1AWOPVeryLowRobots.esp=1AWOPLowLootSkillBooks.esp=1AWOPDeadMoneyVendorPatch.esp=1Alternative Repairing - NVInteriors Combo Edition.esp=1Detect Traps - DLC.esp=1NevadaSkies - Basic Edition.esp=0AWOPLowRobots.esp=1NVR-ELECTRO-CTIY_Patch.esp=1athornysituation.esp=1T6M Unique Item.esp=1Alternative Repairing - Additional Campfires.esp=1Distributed Necklaces and Chains Neck Seam Concealer.esp=1Neckchains.esp=1TG Blackwidow type3.esp=1Cass alternate version.esp=1My Merged Patch 3.esp=1
RitualClarity Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 I haven't had that trouble. However.. Make sure that you loaded the mods in the proper order. That is a mod loaded later even though it is on the list, can overwrite files loaded before and that can cause havoc on your game. This is the case in general if using NMM and even FOMM. In other words you can take the list of mods that Gopher gives you .. or really anybody gives you and install them out of order and if there are any files that are the same they will overwrite the ones installed before. Giving you a different final result. If you suspect this is the case easy fix is to go through your load order ( mod list) and install everything again. Not from files just re-install. Make sure it is in the correct order and if that is the case it should correct itself. I don't think this should effect saves and such. Also so long as you re-install them in proper order no harm should occur with the game if you want to try that to see if it is the case. Finally .. we don't have esp or clairvoyance. We cannot tell if there is anything wrong with the load order. Mods or the such as we dont have a load order. Place a load order in the OP please just in case so that others can review and possibly give you better info in case it is the case some mod is giving trouble. Or perhaps some order of installation is needed. Also please place it in the spoilers. ( copy paste into spoilers using the big ! button above )
Kaladarm Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 Thanks, I've edited the original post as requested. Since posting it though, I've had a thought that it might be the Pipboy 2500 mod that is throwing the holstered weapon position off as I read somewhere that it can have one or two weird side-effects. I tried testing it with the mod turned off but instead of the Pipboy 3000 showing up as expected, I just had a bare arm, so wasn't able to test my theory out. I also tried it with the weapon animations mod removed but the pistol still sat on the hip, pointing backwards, so I re-installed the animations. Would still love for some help to cure this annoying bug, as I'm completely put off using a pistol at all now until I can get it to sit in the holster as it does in the vanilla game.
Wolfoftheshadows Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 It happens to me and it's because you're probably still running when you holster your weapon. I could be wrong but that's the only time it ever happens to me and the fix is easy, just stop running and take out your weapon and holster it again and it's back in it's normal position. If you're having that problem while standing still than it's something entirely different.
Kaladarm Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 Thanks, I tried that but it still sat on the hip. I've got around the issue with a mod that added holsters (which I already had through another mod) but it also adjusted the position of the holstered pistols - they now sit where they should Thanks for the tips though.
Guest Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 It is probably the skeleton or the weapon animation replacer, no other things should affect the location of the weapon on your body
