hmmm... which is better? Caliente's big bottom edition [CBBE] or Dimonized UNP Body?

 

here are some of their advantages and dis-advantages

-----------------------------------------

Original CBBE

 

Advantages

- easy to fix seams

- more modders make armors for CBBE

- barbie like skin texture

- almost perfect body shape

- high-poly hand mesh

- calientes vanilla armors for CBBE

- BodySlide

- Texblend

- being updated constantly by the author

 

Disadvantages

- too unrealistic body shape

- too unrealistic body textures

- less detailed feet and hand textures

-----------------------------------------

Original UNP

 

Advantages

- realistic body shape

- realistic body texture

- high-poly feet mesh

- highly detailed textures

 

Disadvantages

- hard to fix seams

- low-poly hand mesh

- seems to be abandoned by the author

- only a few modders use UNP for making armors

-----------------------------------------

This is just my Point Of View on which is better

both have their advantages that the other doesn't have

if you want a perfect looking character, you might want to use CBBE

if you want realistic looking character, you might want to use UNP

-----------------------------------------

i tried both body types and i loved CBBE for it's compatible with any face texture because of it's Texture Blender

 

i also loved UNP because of it's realistic textures and the realistic "nipple" shape

but it gave me a hard time finding a face mod that would match the body textures perfectly

-----------------------------------------

Summary - CBBE has an advantage over UNP only because of it's "Texture Blender"

If you look up at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6709, dimon99 has stated the reason why.

 

Here are the exact quote;

"IMPORTANT: Guys, do not send PM's to me (dimon99) - I do not have a computer ATM (as pretty much most things) - thanks to hurricane Sandy. Thanks and see ya all later. ALL my mods are now FREE TO MOD,since I am unreacheable."

 

Just because he doesn't update it does not means he abandoned it. I believe, he's very much well satisfied with the current version of UNP and does not wish to alter it further.

 

One more thing; off topic! but thanks for the valuable info. There are thread that dedicated for this kind of things if you wish to voice out your opinion. Peace~~

Don't forget LB (Lady Body)

Advantages:

-Realistic body shape (A to D+ cup)

-Realistic textures

-Optional pubic hair 3D model (not just a texture)

-High poly hand and feet meshes

-High support by an author

-Awesome armor/clothing mods from the author

-Adjusted vanilla armor and clothing

 

Disadvantages:

-Almost no armor mods from other modders

-No BBP support

-Doesn't support face mods (but as for me it doesn't need any)

-Neck seams on custom NPCs (but not that noticeble as they're covered with beautiful necklaces).

 

etc. :D

p.s. i used all 3 body mods and now i stopped on LB, really love this one.
