Skyrim crashes!

I've had this problem for around a day now and ever since I downloaded RealVision enb I've been having crashes both on load and during a game seconds after I've loaded it.

I got really pissed so I uninstalled the ENB injector and the realvision but yet it still is crashing all the time when I load it.

 

There is no way I'm uninstalling my game and mods by some slow process, I say f**k that.

Sorry, I'm just annoyed, many people are in this situation and would like to play again.

 

P.S The short taste of the ENB was amazing, I loved the sight and look of it and would love to actually use it with no troubles, but I don't want a tutorial video from YouTube since most of them are outdated. I'd rather a step by step process please.

After you install an ENB you need to call the game setup from the launcher, same if you uninstall and ENB, as in some cases ENB emulates a specific graphic adapter.

And make sure you do (and undo) the needed changes to the iNis and the setup in the control panel of your graphic card.

First off, what's the specs of the PC you're using? It could be that the ENB binaries may not be compatible with your PC.

For RealVision ENB take good care wich version you install as it will call specific mods.

Okay we actually need the following:

 

• CPU/processor: is it an Intel? Or an AMD?
• Motherboard: sometimes it matters because some are built for performance, others are for normal people who don't overclock.
• Graphics card: also known as a GPU. What type of video card can either break your Skyrim experience with an ENB or make it fabulous.
• Your Skyrim load list: because some mods may cause your game to crash, or that you might have a mod that's dependent on a missing .ESM master.

Those mods installed makes me wonder how it even plays at all.

 

Have you run a papyrus log to see what's in there? I am sure it's script spammed like crazy. That alone could be the problem. You got at least 40 mods, at least, that are running scripts in the background. A couple of those are horrible, like BBLS and Warzones.

 

I know it's fun to change the game, but exercising some control goes a long way.

 

I didn't count them, but there is a limit of 255 mods in this game. If you add one after that point it kills another one already added. This can cause a crash at startup since in essence you'll be missing a file (and it might be a necessary one that gets shut down).

My game runs smoothly with all these mods on, only after when I have the enb is when I started experiencing problems even after I uninstalled it.

 

So what really should I do now, I'm not that sure. Uninstall a few mods or what? If someone can; could they suggest a mod that should NOT be on because it might cause problems or crashes? I'll love you forever!

1. Did you follow the instructions on how to install ENB itself and RealVision?
2. Are you sure you completly removed ENB? (if you have a file called d3d9.dll in your Skyrim folder, delete it as it came from ENB and is used to call it.)

 

Start the Skyrim launcher thru Steam, click on Options and then immediatly on OK.

No need to make any changes as this is just to make sure the game runs on the correct graphic adapter, which is found when you start the setup and saved as soon as you click OK.

1. Yes I did (I hope), I watched Gophers video but it was dated from a year or two back. I started my game and in the top left corner had that message letting me know I did it but yet had the crashing problems.

 

2. Yes I did remove that file as well as the ones that had enb on it only on my Skyrim folder.

 

Are there other ways?

Stop following solely Gophers videos and do instead what he says: Read the mods description.

 

Aside from that, my last guess would be to remove all your game iNis. Not the one in the Skyrim folder, but in %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim.

Then start the launcher again, make your setup and hope it works.

P.s.: Check for mods you installed for use with RealVision. if you removed RealVision remove any mods that are especially targeted for use with RealVision.

 

P.p.s.: if you use MO, start the game and the launcher from inside MO.

Sigh, ok, nothing seems to work. Let just say with wipe the whole god damn thing, re-installing the game and starting everything again.

Wiping and starting again is kinda' normal for your first few play throughs. Sad, but true.

 

If you're going to go to that extent I would strongly suggest switching to Mod Organizer in the process so you'll never have to reinstall again. And here is this subforum is a thread outlining how to install Skyrim, what steps to go through, to get a stable, smooth game that's as trouble-free as possible.

Follow all the steps in this thread here and you'll get a game with as few CTSs as possible.

 

And being conservative with scripted mods will go a long, long way. Keep it down to just a couple heavily scripted mods you just can't live without if you're going to run SL mods, too. Leave crashfest mods like BBLS out of your load order altogether (it's the dirtiest mod ever made). If you use MO you can set up seperate profiles with seperate game saves so you can have one to play and one loaded with SL mods and a couple more to just experiment with new mods.

 

Going into Skyrim/data/SKSE and making a new file called "SKSE.ini" then adding these lines to it...

 

[General]

ClearInvalidRegistrations=1

 

...will help get rid of orphaned scripts as well. I add it to mine at the start of a new game just to make sure. It's not an immediate fix, but over time it cleans unused scripts from your game.

actualy i noticed since installing FNIS , defeat and sexlab framework i get als CTD

It used to play perfect with realvision ENB injector 251b and skse untill i installed the mods above.

The crashes are random sometimes a popup from Microsoft visual CC++ pops up.

Crashes appear when opening mudcraps , sometimes a body and sacks and sometimes it's completely random.

 

For the info my system:

MSI z87 GD65 gaming mainboard + hasswel I7 4770k processor , 16GB memory , videocard Radeon R9 270x (4gb version) , i use the 4gb patch for skyrim.

Just build it a month ago.

 

The latest mods installed next to the above :

Climates of tamriel (project reality)

Wet and Cold

Sky UI

land : Wyrmstooth 1,10

 

Also lydia was messed up lol , she now follows some random character and no matter what i do she refuses to follow me even tho i tell her or tell her to go home.. that's something i never experienced before , after resetting her and calling her and do whatever with the console commands , she still wouldn't listen  , so i killed her and have her dead body laying around somewhere in my house and assigned Alea from the companion as a house butler

Are you using the SMME memory patch? That helps a lot with random crashes. FreeMem helps a bit as well and plays nicely with the memory patch.

Thanks a ton guys for the help, I followed the link Old Geezer game me and it seem to be fine now, it even feels like a new game. Yet the only hassle is to install all my mods but other than that it's awesome!
