toshiyougan Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 i don't know why this happens but everything works perfectly except for the forge crafting menu, suddenly the game lags allot and for what i can tell it go's all the way to 10-5fps. does anyone know why, i used to have 2X more clothing mods without this problem.......help?
myuhinny Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 What type of clothing mods do you have? If you get too many high poly mods it will do that like clothing/armor that are daz ports or ones with high textures and when you get too many of them together in one spot like the forge/inventory you will get lag or worse CTD's when scrolling through the list.
toshiyougan Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 but that's the weird part, my inventory has loads of high poly/HD clothing yet it only happens in the forge.
Uncle_Sheo Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 You will also observe there is a background noise - it sounds like you are scrolling the list rapidly. Also, there will be a slight flicker in lighting of the item preview when you actually do scroll the list. If you observe these, then you might have the same issue I do. And before you ask: No, I don't know what caused it or its solution. In fact, if you find out the solution, please please please let me know. I have been suffering with this problem for long now. I get ~60 FPS with ultra settings of K series ENB, even outdoors with modded vegetation and grass and what not. And I only get 20 FPS at the forge. This is embarrassing and frustrating. Actually, I also observed it at other crafting menus introduced by mods like Lustmord, Witch of the Wild, and especially Art of Magicka.
Sheothemadone Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Are you using many mods that add new things to the forge crafting menu? I do, and have the same lag problem, and I think this might be caused by that. :/
RPGX_Omega Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I have the same problem. Maybe one of the decrafting mods cause it?
cornbreadtm Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Just use this mod. FMO - Forge Menu Overhaul - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37003/? No matter what you do you will have lag in the forge menu unless you use this mod or only 1 clothing mod. If I didn't use FMO I'd literally crash on opening the forge menu I have about every clothing mod out there merged into one esp
