xenic Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I'm trying to build an interior and I have obj files and dds file. I can convert the obj into nif (I think). So once I get the nif and dds into folders will the CK recognize them and let me work with them?
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 nope. gotta link the mesh and the texture in nifskope. under the meshs branch its done by modifying the bsshader-properties.
xenic Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 Okay, so I made a simple flat square in Blender and converted it to a nif. Then I found a gray metal color. Now I have graySquareWall.nif and graySquareWall.dds How do I actually get this into Skyrim to work with it? I would like to use it with another mod. In short, I want to make a flat wall with a metallic texture. EDIT: I have a wall, texture, and they have collision but the CK won't detect it. Here is what I have so far. Look for the texture and mesh in the <ship interior> folder EDIT2: I couldn't get the 1st version to work, so I copied the wood floor from: Dungeon > Ship > Katarina. It was flat but the texture won't load. I can create a new object in CK and import the nif but for some reason the texture just won't load. Any help would be appreciated, I only want to do this for 2 items.
