SOS Futa... new problem, need help

Recommended Posts

1. Install SSME: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/?

2, Use ENBHost (it's basically the new 4GB memory patch): http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrim.html

3. Use the freemem mod: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/26653-might-get-me-banned-but-i-dont-really-care-why-almost-no-non-chinese-know-of-this-mod-freemem-12/

Between those three mods it'll squash all the memory related bugs and generally give you a much smoother gameplay (especially when you use HDT which is pretty processor heavy...)

You can even run a bunch of script heavy mods together (i've got like 320+ mods and most are script heavy xD)

Also, if you didn't already know, you should use the racemenu precache killer optional download.

Edit: Lol, I'm not as fast as Monababii it seems xD

You used links :P Plus I didn't even know about that Freemem mod :o sounds interesting. I'm gonna check it out myself, even though the memory patch dll fixed all memory related issues for me already =D

I already use all of those things but freemem, and I don't think that's the issue.

Well then the last thing to do is post log order and post HDT log file.

That will tell us a better picture of possible mod conflicts and see if you setup HDT correctly.

Also which version of HDT do you use?

The latest, although it doesn't matter whether I use stable or latest. Let me grab a papyrus log.

By the way, what's the word on duplicate categories in the skyrim ini files? Is it okay to have two [General] sections with different stuff in them?

O.o I've never done that...

I assume it's not recommended and will only read the second General tab, so all tweaks in the first tab are not used.

In either case just for cleanliness it's probably best to only have 1 section

Edit: By HDT Log I meant the log file placed in SKSE/Plugins/<HDTsomethingsomething>.log (open it up in notepad)

What would be best for cleanliness is if I could have all the threading stuff in its own part of the file so it's not cluttering everything else up.

Sec... I'm not exactly sure how to get that through Mod Organizer.

I read somewhere before that dirty .ini files can also lead to CTDs. Not sure how true this is but... having 2 of any category or function in any .ini file can't be good :o Makes me wonder what exactly do your .ini files look like? Any other weirdness like that showing?

I don't have a dirty ini file, it's just something I wanted to do.

Oh okay. I thought you actually had 2 of that category in your .ini file.

Yeah, RaceMenu is causing crashes due to a bunch of script nonsense happening in the background that needs a clean save to fix. It wasn't HDT or my memory.

Look at the bright side, if you follow blabba's suggestions your next game will never experience a memory issue again and it will use your CPU more efficiently :D

Truth be told I don't think I've ever had a memory issue. My only issue has ever been finding an ENB that didn't tank my FPS while also fixing my shadows.

xD,

Well at least you found your problem (Honestly I should have put a disclaimer that you'll need a 'clean' save lol...)

Of course at the end of the day it's all up to you what mods you use and such, I just dislike false information being spread around as it causes problems later on down the road for newer users.

Well, hopefully I didn't waste your time completely!

I've been needing a new save anyway, I got some mods I wanted to try.
