Another CTD problem-thread.

Hi there.

Well there are quite a few CTD problems already in this section, but i didnt found something that could help me with my problem.

Whenever im trying to start with a female character my game crashes without an error message.

I can create her just fine, but after i entered a name, i CTD after a few seconds. 

 

I already tried many things, that i somehow found in the forum or on Nexus, but nothing helped me there.

I tried to disable some mods, that may could have caused the problem = nothing.

Reinstalled precachekiller = nothing

Deactivated some mods = nothing

Updated everything i could + deactivated old mods = nothing

Used original SoS skeleton = nothing

Used some skeletons mentioned in the forum = nothing

Updated FNIS = nothing

 

I already encountered this problem before and completely reinstalled Skyrim, because i got some mods that had some loose files without any use etc.

Nothing.

 

I really hope someone knows an answer for this outrageous problem.

 

I can start as a male character and use the showracemenu to swap to a female character.. well.. but somehow i got the feeling i shouldnt do that.

precachekiller does nothing for after creation it it for when you start creation or use the showracemen console command it is there to prevent lag/freezes from trying to load too many hairs. Are you using any specific type of body replacer ones with BPP/TBBP. Have you tried re-installing the female race mod that you have installed to see if something overwrote something it needs.

 

Another thing you could try is to save right before creation so that you can keep going back quickly to check and I would try turning off a few mods at a time when you no longer get a CTD then you will know that it's is in the last little group you turned off so then you can go back out turn 1 of those from that set you turned off  back on 1 at time and when you get the CTD again you'll know which one is causing it and can get rid of it.

 

There is also TES5Edit you download it unzip it and run the .exe file over and over till you no longer get a error from it and it loads all of your mods up as you might have a load order issue. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/?

Reason for most CTDs I had where:

 - skeleton

 - body mesh

 - SoS

 - HDT

 - Elf race (CTD when swicthing from 1st person to 3rd person mode)

 

Make a full backup (just in case things go wrong). Deactivate ALL mods (dont forget SKSE plugins) and then start a new game as Nord.

 

If it works, reactivate mod one by one.

 

If this doesn't work, delete everything and let Steam reinstall everything. After that add mod one by one.

I was able to get rid of this problem. I dont know how this would have fixed it, but it did.

 

I disabled hdt.xml (Breastcollision) and made another bodyversion. After that i relocated everything. (No the path was correct)

Now i can start again with females.

 

But thanks anyway everyone.
