Thinking of buying but idk, looks alittle to much like left 4 dead >_<.

 

No, state of decay is more on survival, you need find a homebase, make defenses, find food, fuel, construction material.

 

Left for dead you can jump and fights hordes of zombies.

 

In this game it can only a few zombies (if you are at a bad spot) to kill you. 

 

This game is built more around stealth. You can sneak, search objects quietly, hide in scrubs. It is not advisable to engage zombie hordes unless you have a car. Car is OP.

SoD is a 3rd person open world sandbox game. I playing it right now (or did, have taken a little break from it)

SoD is nothing like L4D at all. In L4D, you go from point A to B and then kill zombies on the way.

SoD is more like an GTA game. But with zombies. There are a few survivors here and there, that you can befriend and recruit. Even switch to them.

You loot and scavenge, and build defenses at your home base. But also things like, kitchen, workshop, bedrooms etc etc.

You also lvl up as you use certain weapons and can then pick a specialization and stuff like that.

Ohh ohh, you can also run over zombies with cars!

you switch to one of your remaining survivors, and if you can find your old character's dead body, they are either reanimated(you can loot them to get your items back), or dead if they get ripped apart.

I like the features it has and almost brought it.

 

Until I read it was single player only meaning I couldn't play with my friend and go around killing zombies with her
