Having Trouble Loading SKSE

 Every time I load up SKSE I keep getting error messages treating me that I need to update Address Library even though I have the latest version installed. Don't know why I keep getting this problem.

It seems likely that you don’t have the correct version of Adress Library to match your Skyrim version.

 

You might want to start to look there first 🤔

When it comes to SKSE-based mods, load order is usually irrelevant.
You haven't listed what version you playing on (whether its SE (version up to 1.5.97 iirc) or AE (version 1.6 and above)), check it by right-clicking on your Skyrim.exe.
Then, you need correct version of SKSE https://skse.silverlock.org or https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30379 according to your version.
And lastly the correct version of Address Library.

But if the SKSE is on strike... the user doesn't seem to have started his "vanilla" Skyrim version WITHOUT any mods via the SKSE.

I'm speculating -> all mods downloaded and installed and when the mod list was full - you started to start the game for testing... and now you have hundreds of mods that you have to check - which one might be causing the problems.

It is actually possible to play the AE content on SE as well using a version downgrader with patches like "Best of both worlds" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618?tab=files . But okay, for most part, it very likely is AE, then uh... I dunno, probably something to do with versioning of the plugins and such.

assuming this is Skyrim AE v1.6.1170, then we're looking for Address Library v11 and SKSE v2.2.6

 

rather than the mod list, a screen capture of the error message to confirm we're looking at SKSE v2.2.6, and something showing the version of the installed mods, may help more.

I have the Anniversary version. I did everything and still having problems. The game crashes when I start a new game

At this point, no idea, I myself am a professional hater of AE. If you were starting a new playthrough and freshly installed all the mods, theres some chance that some of them are not compatible with AE's code or whatever, which might be the reason your game is crashing. But, if I understand it correctly, your issue is now different? You first mentioned your game is giving you error message when using the address library. Now thats gone? Instead, getting crashes to desktop (CTD) ?
If thats the case, well, there is one simple advice anyone could give: start disabling mods one by one until you find the culprit.

Let me correct you. I wasn't trying to troubleshoot now, I've been troubleshooting since the last update and that's when the game crashed. The only problems I had before that problem was with Papyrus, Skyui and pose Hotkey.

 

 There weren't any missing masters shown in Vortex and Loot.

If there is an unupdate of the main game - i.e. "Skyrim" itself - you of course also need a new SKSE ... that was exactly the main problem when switching from SE to AE -> because "Bugdesta" didn't give out any information before this switch and so the mod authors 8von SKSE) had no chance - to create an adapted version.

SKSE is NOT included in the base game

first, set the appmanifest_489830.acf to read only to have a chance at blocking future updates.

 

if you're using vortex, go through every mod in the utilities and modders resource, and check for updates, and read the most recent posts for those mods. If something hasn't updated and should have done, there may be posts flagging an issue.

 

have a look at a collection like https://next.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/collections/xk05aw?tab=mods which has most of the script extended mods. You could try installing the collection, the risk is that you've got something lurking from an older skyrim version that doesn't get updated, and the issue persists. 

 

please install trainwreck, and get a crashlog. 

somewhere in the first part to the file will be a "probable call stack" which can help identify which plugin is glitching.

At the end of the crashlog file will be a list of dll that are loaded, and their versions.
