Green Dildo [request]

Recommended Posts

Title is self explanatory. I find there’s not much options in color selection for the dildos here. Would like one that is green similar in shade to the one here (and in model too if possible):

Sorry for the thumbnail quality. It’s from an old webcam chat site. If i knew the site was going to shut down so soon, i’d save all the full-size photos of all my favorite models there 😭

Sorry if I say something basic,,,You can use the "Create a style" tool to put the article in the color you want.

You mean in game? I tried it and it says “The dildo style cannot be changed”. It's the 1st thing I've tried.

The dildos I know for KW are not recolorable. I wish I could explain how to get inside a package file and change stuff with S3PE but I'm not good at using it.

If you absolutely need colored dildos, I'd suggest taking a look at S3PE (S3 Package editor) -- I've used that to allow or forbid items from clothing categories or forbid random sims wearing an item, but I've never tried to replace a texture.

Another option might be to use one of the dildos that are recolorable, and use "The Transmogrifier (aka Object Script Changer)" on Mod the Sims to make that work like a KW dildo. I have not done this, and have not used the transmogrifier, but I think I recall someone posting here on LL about doing something similar to get different looking dildos.

Yep - works like a charm with a few caveats.

1) The object may become 'stuck' in inventory although still usable - therefore Master Controller/basic/inventory/sell item works.

2) To be sure 'any' object will function and look good, it's best to place it on a surface/floor next to a working dildo and make sure it lines up properly - object arrows (build/buy) facing the same direction and the objects themselves aligned for holding and use. Venus Princess has several 'dildo objects' which can be transmogged but be bold and experiment - one never knows what can be used until they follow the above steps - and yes - this works without issue on the dildos available for download on the Passion thread.

Do you at least know which tag in S3PE I need to pay attention to when I open the dildo package with S3PE?

Sorry, my brain just clicked just now and realized what you were referring to. I just downloaded the transmogrifier. How exactly do you use the Transmogrifier to change the dildo's color?

The Transmogrifier is not able to change the color of anything.

It adds a new menu option on the menu wheel of a selected object. The player must be in Build/Buy mode for this option to appear. Shift/click an object in Build/Buy will show 2 new options:

Copy Script    - Copies any script assigned to that object and holds it in temporary memory

Apply Script   - Takes any script being held in temporary memory and applies it to the object selected.

Player places the target object on the floor/table

Player places the scripted object near the target.

Player shift/clicks scripted object and chooses: copy script

Player shift clicks target object and chooses apply script

Now leave build/buy if the object is where you want it (a dildo can be left out or picked up later and placed into inventory)

Close build/Buy and select the changed object.

It should now have the same menu options as the scripted object and will be used the same way.

If a transmog item seems 'stuck' in inventory - use Master Controller/basic/inventory to remove it

While not the example I looked for - this will do: You can see I applied the Dildo script to the 'anal beads' dildo available to download from the Passion post.

The shot I looked for showed the Venus Princess 'HULK' dildo being used as a magic wand from the Supernatural EP - I took a wand and used it's script on a dildo.

While not speaking for Yotix, I just click on the files in S3PE until I see the texture/color files. These are the ones you mean. You could open both the purple and pink dildos, next to each other and compare. As far as making a new file to replace the existing one - I never tried but understand that is all that is happening - replacing a color file and closing the package back up into a usable format like before it was changed.

If you want to learn to MOD - focus on that particular type to understand the process instead of being navigated through a single example not understanding what it is you did once you've finished if at all.

Do you know which tag the texture/color files are under when I open S3PE?

No.

Open a package in S3PE, and click on each line to the left while noticing the identifier for that line such as OBJ

As you go through the lines in that package you should begin to see WHAT is needed to create an Object package.

Eventually you will find the Color and texture files. This is how I did it although I look mostly at the THUM files to make sure I have the right package when sharing them.

*Eventually you will need to learn this stuff like everyone else - looking, reading, comparing, experimenting. No one is here just to answer questions.

Not missed, but part of a recent departure and not to be posted for download here out of respect. The link is good though. Perhaps others will find this useful because they were unaware of the site.   :)
