Romantic Encounters BG3

Hi all,

 

I don't know if anyone ever played the Romantic Encounters mods

I am considering writing the scripts as it were for a BG3 series of romantic encounters. 

 

These would be black screen text based, but with some effort for engaging and cohesively written scripts.

 

I'm aware that this community has preferences and appetites more in keeping with sexlab, but if this is something people would enjoy, I'll carry on the planning and try to bring it to completion.

 

These encounters are intended to give depth, allowing a player to be sexually active throughout the game, but without derailing it. 

 

Supported themes:

Encounters involving existing NPC's,

- A date with Alfira etc.

 

Encounters involving new NPC's. 
- No new NPC's should be out of place or jarring to existing settings, examples might be a travelling bard in a tavern with time to kill, or a guardsman who catches a player character in a compromising position.

 

Other idea's,

Background / class support - a blue mage needs assistance from a young attractive apprentice (wizard class)

 

Gambling / Alcohol mini games

 

If people have any locations / characters / subthemes that they want considered, please shout out.

PLANNED ENCOUNTERS 

A Kiss of Death:

A Harper scout has identified a Blackguard of Bane has taken sanctuary in the derelict Selunite temple. Perhaps the female PC could get closer than he ever could.

 

From the Banites perspective, it would be prudent to refrain from distractions, but he really really wants to break in that defiant Truesoul tantalisingly close to breaking into submission. besides what threat could a woman possibly represent. 

Requirements; Female PC, rogue class or criminal background. Success of the quest will require constitution (heavy drinking), athletics or intimidation to cow the blackguard into a submissive position before cutting his throat. 

 

An Erotic Enigma

Rolan has in his possession a tome of untold potential, if only he could decipher the damn thing. A sagely PC might be able to help him decipher it, but will she be ready for all the consequences.

 

Requirements: Female PC, sage background or wizard. Arcana to decipher the spellbook. Rolan must be persuaded to stay when first encountered. 

 

A Chance Encounter

A curious PC might be exactly what bored mercenaries are looking for to spice up their evening. But is the PC prepared to put her mouth where her cards are...

 

Requirements: Female PC, Aradin, Barth and Remira must all survive initial encounter.

I've made some good progress, but at the moment it's mostly a case of storing away libraries of flow charts.

 

Currently, doing working on Act 1 female encounters, though male ones to follow. 

 

My gut is that Act 3 is likely to have the most potential, with act 2 the least, but I'll do my best to sprinkle them throughout.

Because writing sex scenes that don't have requirements either have double the text, or really bland descriptions. Certainly can be some that I do write both for, but certainly not all.

 

If there's any that are listed, or you want to suggest that you would particularly prefer to not have restrictions, please do post saying so.

 

Additionally, I've been giving some thought about other requirements. Whilst I'd like to have background triggers, because they can have some interesting story hooks and give characters a different play through, I also don't want to gate too much content. Again input, very welcome.

Ya have to say keep gender required as little as possible just give yourself more work and lock out content for small reason.

 

I mean worst case if someone does read you say some gender thing, which I doubt would be that common, I mean that is easy to ignore and still enjoy most the romance.

 

and otherwise I mean there are countless magics+artifacts like even a belt at start of BG1 existed, to give a woman a temp dick and visversa so they can just imagine that happened. 

 

PLUSS... lol this is loverslab and you talking about adult mods ... and wellllllllll some the first mods were to give the gals dicks (some rather big ones at that) sooooo >_>

Agreed. Also, and this might sound like I am mocking  or joking, but I am not, OP. If it is going to be fade-to-black text only, make the sex, whether it's vanilla or kinky, really explicit, like way more explicit than anything we can do in Skyrim with SexLab or OStim, or Fallout 4 with AAF.

I've played the original Romantic Encounters mod and liked how it filled a bit of a sexual void. However, I'd definitely prefer for it to be spicier

There will be content supported for as much as I can, certainly including male PCs. 

 

Based on feedback I will do as much as I can to be as accessible as I can for as many different characters.

 

However, there will be some that are exclusive.

One key consideration, in my opinion, is "How kinky will it be?" With enough ambition, and time to go with it, you could offer choices of labeled options in a dialog, from "Not on the lips" to "FetLife members blanche and turn away."

Mixed news RE mod support.

 

Fantastic that the promised mod support is coming. 

However, I understand that there are going to be limitations. 

 

Firstly, I take it from Larian that their split of sanctioned and unsanctioned mods is basically explicitly saying that they know NSFW mods are coming and thats cool, it just won't be hosted on their servers which is understandable. 

 

However, the second half is that they have said that there will be limitations on new areas.

The main thing that I am concerned about is whether the mod toolkit allows new NPC's to be inserted. 

Whilst the majority of my intentions are about utilising current design space and not creating new areas, i would like the ability to create new NPC's and thus new encounters. 

 

Regarding my planning, my intention is to release a package of encounters for Act 1 before thinking about Act 2 and beyond.

 

Also, based on overwhelming feedback I am keen to reduce gates of access so that content can be enjoyed on different play throughs. On things like gender etc. However, it is my intention to have some exclusivity as well.

I never played the original "Romantic Encounters" mod, but the concept behind it is awesome.  I look forward to being able to download and enjoy a copy of your BG3 "Romantic Encounters" mod
