Spect's TTPP Assets

Hello, I'm Spect, the newest Dev and artist for the mod TTPP (Titillating Tentacle Porn Pack). I'd like to keep this page more alive compared to other TTPP asset related pages, but we'll see how that goes.

As of now, I'd like some feedback on certain assets I've been making.

Remade Captive Portraits
I've always thought they were a little too skiny and the that the heads were too big compared to the body. With that, I've changed them and they (apparently) work perfectly in-game.
Here's a comparison of them:

I like my version the best, however, you may disagree; But since the main purpose of this page is to get feedback, what's your opinion? Would you like to see them in-game? Or would you prefer to keep the old ones?

TTPP's Mascot
Onionknighto said that the "ideal version of the mod" would include a mascot; With that in mind, I've made a potential design for it:

I really enjoy some stuff I made, like the "clothing" being part of her hair and a tentacle. Again, the main focus is feedback, so, what is your opinion?

New Trap Dilemma
I've made a new trap recently (not sure when will be implemented); Onionknighto and I personally disagree with a certain aspect of it.
If you don't want spoilers of it, don't open the spoiler.

Onionknighto thinks that the tentacles and the leg colors should differ more, as they look somewhat the same (specially on the loop with "liquid";
However, I personally disagree, I think that the tentacles look different enough from the legs and are distinguishable.

What's your take on the matter?

I'm going for decorative, cult-related objects right now, but if you guys would like to see something specific, comment it down below and I might add it to my list!

Hiya! Please pardon me as this will be my first ever post/comment to this site. I have been following this mods progress for quite some time, and I'd love to give feedback.

 

 

The remade capture portraits in my opinion are a solid improvement from the previous ones. I especially like the changes within the neck region as the previous design's didn't sit right with me. The current model for the mascot also looks great! As for the trap, first I would like to say awesome job on the animation and the base art behind it. As for the disagreement, I do see Onionknighto's side as the two colors would clash with each other, especially within a farther zoomed-out setting. I think maybe adding a coil-like design that represents the tentacles wrapping around the legs would help distinct the legs from the tentacle, but I suspect the design is like that due to certain limitations. Whatever your calling is on that matter, I'm sure the implementation of such design would be a great addition!

 

I do have some ideas for decorations that may or may not pique your interest:
 

  • Working with the cult theme, I was thinking maybe an iron maiden device style decoration that instead of having spikes contains tentacles instead. This could be animated or static, however I think it would suit the theme.
  • I was wondering if slime tentacle decorations are worth considering? I saw the mod contained new slime-based mini dungeons and I thought that a recoloring of existing decorations or new-decorations would allow for a more diverse selection of decorations (Kind of like the addition of stone-based tentacles/decorations).

 

As always, I applaud the team's work and the continuous effort being poured into this project. Continue to do great things!

It's an honor to be the one receiving your first message on the website!

Glad that you've appreciated the changes to the capture portraits and that you've liked the mascot. Still awaiting for more people to comment.
(If you'd like to have the new portraits already, I can send it here or directly to you).
I'll be modifying the trap soon; I'd like to end most objects first before getting back into it. I'll make sure to repost it here eventually, so stay tuned!

Now, for your decorative ideas:
-Really liked the cult iron maiden that has tentacles. I can see this as something the player goes inside. It might be animated, but we'll still see!
-Slime, cyber, plant and other kinds of tentacles have been discussed and are of Onionknighto's interest (at least for what I remember). One of the other artists was responsible for modifying flesh tentacle victim objects into petrified tentacles, but they are currently taking a break; They might do it once they are back and done with petrified objects; Nothing is for sure tho.

These art pieces are looking great so far! Some of the animations look great in concept and most of the in progress ideas are fantastic, and I would like to pitch in with some feedback and ideas I want to give. 

 

For the New Trap Dilemma, I have to somewhat agree with OnionKnight with showing the legs a bit. At the moment the legs do share the same primary colors with the background, surrounding flesh and tentacle itself. The lack of negative space between the leg and surrounding walls is also making it hard to see the differences at times. However I do agree with your idea of the tentacle restraining the legs, in reference to the trap's theme. So perhaps a balance could be reached? I drew some ideas for the legs for reference:

As for community suggested content, here are some of my ideas for the future:

More animated background decorations.
- Eggs, perhaps implantation or expulsion into or out of the body?

- Pregnant belly object, just the belly poking out of the wall with animation showing minor budges (for example like fetal movement)

- More wiggles in some of the existing objects, like some of them are trying to escape but is restrained and can't move.

 

Clothing and Armor

- More tentacle related clothing, Breeding Slave themed armor perhaps? 

- A generic cult armor for NPCs, at the moment they are just running around naked, and they don't particularly full like they're in a cult other than being naked or having the purple armor in reference to the vanilla cults worshiping The Ruin.

- Tentacle garments, joke clothing

 

At the moment that's all of my ideas for now. I'm looking forward to the development of this page and the mod and I hope further development will be smooth and tranquil.

Sadly, not much can be done as to altering how the legs work; Color changing and reanimating is mostly what I can do.

What I mean by this is: the legs are fully covered because of our current limitations; It was the only plausible way I found to circunvent them.

(To be more specific, those aren't the actual player's legs; We don't have the tech to make custom animations that use the player's sprite color).

On the bright side, creating these 'fake' legs also allows for custom animations, which normally aren't allowed. (There'd be no way to make the legs move like that).

Now, about your ideas:

-Egg-related animations sound a bit too similar to another animated object that is already in-game, even tho it's not egg-related; Could work, but would be low on my priority list.

-I'm a fan of the pregnant belly idea, will take a shot a it.

-Not sure about making already existing objects wiggly; I'm the newest artist and NONE of the victim assets were made by me. I could edit, but I'd like to leave that to the others who made them (as I believe they are more skilled than I).

Although, I'll take this into consideration for my future animations.

 

-Cult armor exists, although it's mostly lewd (like the robes; petrified knight being the odd one out). I'll admit I'd like to see more NPC's with them; Might bring the topic to Onionknighto. It's probably something done by code. (More armor in the future, maybe?).

-Don't know if you read till here, but if so, would you be willing to explain further or give examples to how a "breeding slave" armor would look like?

For the breeding slave armor concept, maybe collars for both necks and limbs, both metal and tentacle themed. Some of the dungeons in the mods often feature NPCs or decor that are "used for pleasure" (i.e. glory hole n' all) sometimes look out of place as there is a lack of identifiable allegiance on why they are there. (Sometimes I mistaken waking non-hostile NPCs as enemies as both are often naked.)

As for the visuals, a collar for the head piece, Cuffs and some body writing for the Body piece, and cuffs for legs should give enough identifying features for players to know that it's a slave used for breeding.

Sup! Love what I'm seeing here!

Personally I'd try making better use of the lower half of the player sprite. Poke some holes in the tentacle layer to show the skin underneath. Otherwise it might look like the legs don't have, well, skin. Which is sadly how one of my trap designs ended up looking where the victim's arms and legs are splayed out in an X shape, but no pose like that exists, so there was no other workaround and it ended up looking weird.

Glad to see you've liked what you've seen, @Lamadi!

I plan on putting the hole trap aside for now; I'll be reworking it entirely to work differently or find a new workaround. If nothing works, I'll either scrap or keep it even with it's problems (tho I'll try to mitigate them to a certain extent).
I've planned some potential solutions and I'll look into them later, as my motivation for this trap is low at the moment. (On another note, your GIF edit looks great!).

For now, decorative objects, interactable or not, will be my main focus.

Hello and good evening (or whatever it is when you read this)

I've been following this mod for a while (I remember first seeing the tentacle assets just thrown onto this forum by the artist), and it's been my favorite mod I've found. I'm glad to see more people are joining in making this mod even better and I cannot wait to see where it goes in the future. Glad to see that you guys are taking feedback too!

 

Guess I'll just go down the list...

The rework of the captured victim sprite is great, I think it works better

 The new trap is a really cool idea. I like that you are incorporating the flesh block, not many deco objects use that texture. It's hard that you can't sample the character's skin color, but I think you are pulling it off the best way you can. Maybe mess with the texture of the legs a bit idk, they look a little weird (weirder than this mod already is lol) but they work.

Personally, my favorite objects in this mod are the ones that allow the creation of traps, like the sensors and the slides. Most importantly, the slippery slope. I think more objects with the functions of moving Npcs would be really cool to see. Maybe make an object that grabs Npcs that touch it (like the hole in the wall trap) and releases them when a wire signal is given. Maybe output a signal when something is captured too.

 

Idk, I have many ideas but we'll be here forever. Again, great work to everyone working on this mod. Heck, I might even spend some more time looking into how this game runs so I can learn how to make stuff like this...

 the alien appendage is the 1h version of the alien worm gun and im still surprised it wasnt part of the ttpp weapons crafting...also a ttpp themed upgrade like the wormgun has. and maybee adding in the slime decor objects too. ive noticed slime blocks and a random slime dungeon already in the original ttpp. but dunno whens the last time it was updated.

@Neko-Noskire Slime and other kinds of tentacles are being considered as an actual addition for the mod. Shouldn't be this next update, but perhaps after that one? I'm not sure.
I'll also take a look into the weapon matter.
