msex Crashes on first load screen

So I downloaded:

 

msex Base

msex Fort

msex Veronica

msex Courtesan

 

Before this, sexout was working beautifully. msex Base also work when I load it. But as soon as I tick one of the other ones as well, the game crashes before or during the first load screen. When I deselect all of the fort, veronica and courtesan ones, the games works fine again.

 

Help please!

I am puzzled here. However.

 

Make sure you are using FOMM to install the mods. NMM sometimes causes problems with scripts. Spectrum Toy pack esm doesn't need to be included in the load order. It is referenced by SCR. You can delete the esm. (keep the data or BSA folder for them.)

 

If you are able to use FNVedit then you can run the program. It will give you a readout on when it crashed and possibly what is the requirement that is missing (or out of order)

 

Baring the above. You can use FOMM and click on each mod and it will tell you the requirements. If you find one out of order change it. See if that helps. If there e is a slow  response you might decide to post on msex tech support. She might be able to help quicker. (she might not see this post. )

Great you are using FOMM and the game works well normally without activating the mSex mods.

 

I do think something is wrong with the order, however I am unfamilar with the bulk of your mods. A crash to desktop is usually a conflict or a missing requirement. 

 

I also think that you have way too many mods running. Each mod you add incresses the chances of game play issues regardless of how well it was written. Most of these mods are created by different authors and llikely modify different files of the game system. If you can remove any that aren't needed or used often. I usually develop load order based on my current play through and remove all that don't relate to that play through and it helps create a stable game for me.

 

When I say She, it is based off her bio. When I tell you to contact the author I mean check the support page for the mod(s) you are using. Choose one of the mods she supports and ask the question there. There might be some mods that she or those that frequent her mod pages that they are aware of.

 

You can click on her bio page linked above and then click on files it should show you her mods that she has uploaded. I would probably use the one that has the mSexBase. In this case this page has the requirement mod included. It also has the highest download recorded. (more trafic and more users)

 

Bottom line... you might have to decide to give up on mSex mods and keep your game "working beautifully" or dump many of the mods you use to diagonose which one is causing the problem if there is no advice form her.

Make sure you are using the latest versions of all Mavia's files- an old version of msexBase.esm with newer versions of others could definitely cause this.

 

Or, I believe a few vanilla game cells are modified by her mods. If you load a savegame in the same cell that gets modified it might cause a crash (The Tops and Fort are likely). Try loading a game which is in some distant unrelated place, like Doc Mitchel's house... if this works you should let her know so she can add a warning to download page.
