fallout 4 FALLOUT 4 AAF and Horizon Survival (outcast) the ultimate Fallout Experience

I noticed some questions about Fallout 4, Horizon compatibility with AAF.  Short answer is OH YEAH!  Its as if they were made for each other.  A picture says a thousand words, so I'll consolidate my Load order, recommended mods to enhance Horizon,  and AAF favorites, and why they are so good ; here on this thread to clean it up.  The following are videos using Fallout 4 Horizon 1.8 on most difficult setting (outcast), strict carry weight, desolation mode, with all the AAF mods and order found here on the "a fucking manual" page.

I have to confess I am still not sure what horizon really does.

Main quest is still there? (I wouldnt mind having the option to turn that off altogether)

Makes the world less Resource rich? and changed the Fo4 interface?

Excuse my ignorance.

Horizon does almost all that, if you select it when you install, select "desolation" and "strict carry weight",  "time scale half", and if your a really good player, and dont rely on VATS, select Outcast difficulty.  If you are a (lowly ) vats user, Veteran might be good for you. What these settings do is make resources scarce , and you can't carry 20 guns and 2000 rounds for each, it makes the world , life in that world a real struggle.  You do NOT have to do the main quest, especially if you add mods like :  Conquest, South of the Sea, Atomic Radio, Fusion City Rising, Tales of the Common Wealth, Project Valkyrie, America Rising (tales of the Enclave) and so many more, all play perfectly with Horizon, just remember, NOTHING can overwrite Horizon, it edits quantity and quality of everything in the game and mods to balance all weapons/damage/ammo/ salvage because you dont get hit points when you level, you only get skills.  Also, use the default HUD that comes with Horizon unless you really want to screw everything up.  Select "components and submenus" for nice in game detail, sorting and crafting materials listings.

Horizon eliminates the bullet sponge and stupid ease of the base game, and one well placed bullet form a pipe pistol can kill you.  You never become a "god", the creatures scale and skill up too.  You cannot heal in combat, you have to play smart, or you die.  A massive settlement focus is available, jobs that produce skills for crafting , using settler skills, a military, automatic outfitter for jobs, you name it, Horizon has it. Factories, for everything you need, but first, the struggle is finding the materials and locations.  So much to do, while ignoring the original  main quest.  And install all the "Architect" options , that is  like a whole new game in itself.

Second, can someone pls help me with cbbe? I can't find a way or an option to turn off the horizon underwear from the game...

That problem Is solved by the mod i'v mentioned before... Now the issue is with the armors added or edited by Horizon.... Is there some patches to adding  bodyslide support to them???

You must have clicked "never nude" in your bodyslide install, if so , simply re-install bodyslide and DO NOT ALLOW  "NEVER NUDE" .  Or is that CBBE?  Either way, reinstall and "de-select " never nude, number one.

 As for armor support, sounds like you have your load order wrong, simply ensure Horizon loads LAST, in plugin order, and that Horizon mod loads AFTER  cbbe, bodyslide, all armor , weapon and clothing mods.  A simple "reinstall " of Horizon may fix your issue.  You have to let Horizon be god and ensure you have the necessary Horizon patches for any conflicting mod, or get rid of the mod.  Bodyslide and cbbe are a learning curve, and  are your culprit, ,not Horizon, barring you running armor mods NOT supported by Horizon (no patch available type).

 Lastly, you cannot use  "armor smith extended" with Horizon, it is NOT compatible , you do NOT need it

 And before anyone states otherwise, yes, sure it will run, then you notice some items dont give you components when salvaged, hideous clipping, hidden errors and conflicts causing CTD's randomly late in game.  Trust me,, GET RID OF ARMOR SMITH EXTENDED its obsolete

I'm gonna try your suggestion! Ty for the replay!!!!

PS I don't use armor Smith extendes from year now!! Never really liked It, I'm so glad that by now a lot of other mod requiring It have made patch to remove that requirement...

I hated the clipping Armorsmith extended always had, was so happy when I realized I didn't need those dependent mods too.  Horizon has incorporated most the most popular aspect of the most commonly used mods, and specifically avoided Armorsmith extended.  Your issue is a bit perplexing, I suspect your just not quite up to speed on how complex bodyslide and CBBE are, there is a sequence to batch build all your game clothing and armor, if you dont know how that works,  Lots of mod type clothing only works with certain bodies, like cbbe, or cherry, or fusion girl, so careful attention to that, and many patches and processes withing bodyslide may be required to add them to the build your using.  try here and go from there to begin building your game clothing world

Reading through your issue repeatedly, Im positive you did something in bodyslide wrong.  Your clothing is pointing to an invalid model, or incompatable model.  It has nothing to do with Horizon, Im positive of that.  Importantly, what mod organizer are you using?  I used them all, and Only Mod Organizer 2 allows for COMPLETE control of where your current nif, tri, and xml files are stored, for easy confirmation that your slider sets are correct.  I highly recommend learning how to us Mod Organizer 2 for the long run if you want to enjoy the best the game has to offer in modding and custom gameplay.

Again thx for the replay and suggestion! I can assurde you that I'm not a supreme master, but i have about 8k hour in fallout 4 and about 15k in Skyrim and in F4 7.9k and in Skyrim 14.9k have been played with mods! So, i think that i know a Little bit of It... That been said, i use o ly Mo2 for a long time, much more now that i use only Linux distro on my main rig and Mo2 Is the only reliable option. My problem was that for some reason the clothes/armor edited from Horizon were not affected by bodyslide and I was thinking that, in some way, Horizon was editing them. Your possibile solution for the naked body had no effect cause cbbe was installed in another profilo I have on Mo2 without "never nude" option and was working absolutely fine. But, as i said, I'v solved It by adding that previous mentioned mod. Ty again for your time and even doing a video about!
