FNV S.T.E.P. or GEMs

Is there a STEP project or Gems for FNV? Or something similar. Thinking of replaying FNV here in a bit when I finish Skyrim and it's been a long while since I modded it. Also, what body replacer has the most armors modded for it? Are they all Type 3?

Unless I am missing the boat STEP is more methodology than anything else.  Installing mods for any of the Bethesda games is pretty much the same.  The differences mainly lie in what mod manager to use.  With FNV it is best to use FOMM.  The nexus page says it is out of date but that is just to trick you into installing their baby the infamous NMM, which is a poor substitute.

As to bodies, there are honestly a fairly wide choice.  Type 3 has a bunch of variants and each one has a good amount of clothing and armors to go with them.  There is also BNB: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35047/?

Type 6 is also fairly popular and there are super skinny variants of that as well (if you are into that sort of thing).

You could probably spend days looking at the body types found in the Nexus FNV models and textures category:  http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/searchresults/?src_order=1&src_sort=0&src_view=1&src_tab=1&src_cat=66&src_showadult=1&page=1&pUp=1

It really comes down to what you prefer.

STEP and GEMs is more a installation grouping of different texture mods, game fixes, and improvements. It also lists the order in which the Textures mods need to be installed as they overwrite certain files with improved verions. GEMs is a collection of mods which enhance and improve gameplay.

I'll check through those textures and the type 3 body. I appreciate the point in the right direction. I use the Mod Organizer for Skyrim as it's a modular installation device that doesn't directly add to the main DATA folder and lets you easily install and uninstall without jacking up the main game files. Need to see if it's FNV compatible.

I appreciate the point in the right direction though.

Need to find a must have mod list for FNV improvement.

AFAIK, Mod organizer is not compatble with FNV. As for the original question, there is no such thing as STEP or GEMS for FNV.

You might want to check out Gopher's mod channel, here http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF6F122CB27A4C085 and here http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0E5E8CA384409B11. I think mostly all of the mods he covers in those videos are worth to be checked out.

Other than that, you need to find your mods the old fashioned way, via top 100 search on the nexus. If I can give any kind of recommendation, I'd stick with the top overhaul mods like Project Nevada and WMX.  Threre are some notable smaller mods that are worth checking out, but it's up to your discretion to decide f they're worth your time.

As much as I like both repositories for Skyrim , nothing beats finding out on your own how different kinds of mods strike your fancy or not. If you're modding the game for the sake of modding, it won't be as much fun as it would if you do it for enhancing the game in the way you want to. Same goes for Skyrim, or any other moddable game for that matter.

Thanks, Bruce,

Not modding for the sake of modding. Just enjoy how much the STEP process improved the overall look at the game and the constant review process they go through to remove outdated mods and replace them with others. My version is highly tweaked though, as some of their mods I could care less about and I prefer the Amidian born textures to the others.  I went through the nexus for a few hours today tracking dozens of files which caught my eye. I'll keep looking at it. I notice there's not as many mods here on LL as there is for Skyrim. But there seems to be quite few on the Nexus. I'll be sure to check out Gopher's vids already following him for Skyrim.

There are not as many in the downloads page here:  http://www.loverslab.com/files/category/8-fallout/

But there are quite a few here:  http://www.loverslab.com/forum/40-downloads-fallout-adult-sex-mods/

and here:   http://www.loverslab.com/forum/41-downloads-fallout-non-adult-mods/

Many of them are more "pack" oriented and contain lots of stuff rather than just one or two clothing items or armors.  Additionally there are many more mods that didn't need an alternate home so they can still be found at the nexus.  Those that can't (be they ports or rips) can be found here:   http://modgames.net/load/90

It is a Russian site, but is easy enough to register with.  They only require a valid email address and have no posting restrictions to downloading things.  You can find ports from most of the popular games out there like BF2. BF3, Crysis, Resident Evil, Metro and many more.
