[SEARCH] Dialog character turn around fix

Recommended Posts

You know the situation, you're in a dialog and you choose a line of dialogue and suddenly your character turns his back on you.

Since I Fallout 4 now has a few years on the hump I thought that there may be a custom patch for it.

Through the search with google I have unfortunately found nothing, so I ask the question here, is there something like that and if so where can I download it or how to fix it?

We all have that problem and it's actually ridiculous. Sadly, it's just the way the game is. Don't know of a fix. If you ever "freeze" action to do any screenshots - "tilde key > TFC 1" (the #1 freezes things), that doesn't happen. But when using "tilde > TFC", moving the camera towards a character, it'll turn away. Move the camera, the character will again move away (turns so its back faces you). It's pretty stupid.

The reason this happens because Beth, in its infinite wisdom, forgot to unlink the mouse movements when selecting an option in a conversation. So when you move the mouse, your char still moves.

There are two fixes.

1. Do not move you mouse and select conversations by the keyboard (the convo options are numbers 1 - 4 - unless you use a dialogue mod, then check that documentation).

2. Apparently if you find this in your ini file:

[General]
bGamepadEnable=1

Change it to

[General]
bGamepadEnable=0
