Help, devices stay and will not come off

Help, I don’t know if I’ve got a mod conflict or what, but the devices I wear I cannot get off, not even a reset in the MCM will remove them, any attempt to unlock, struggle, take off, either tells me I failed or it says “removed” but opens the “struggle, examine, take off” menu and it’s right back on.

 

please help it’s driving me crazy, starting a new game, and it’s still there.

...and we don't know either, because you didn't bother to post the LoadOrder of yours mods.

 

Disable anything that's not needed for running DD5.1 (assuming that this is what you mean with "devices") and try again.

Aaaand give the mod ample time to load, and an extra round of save-quit to desktop-resume to get the MCM up and running.

sorry, i really dont know what i am doing.

 

tried everything i can think of, devices will just not come off, using vortex, so that may be part of the problem

There's a possible source of your problem: EITHER install DD 4.x OR DD 5.x, not both. 

 

Unsinstall Integration 4.x and Contraptions, they both are included in DD 5.x

still no luck, i thought it might have something to do with TreasureHunterWhore1.1.1.7z but that doesn't seem to be it, this is really a shame, i love what the bondage devices bring to the game and i adore lauras quests

This is certainly part of your problem, you are only meant to use one of the patches not both. I suggest you go back to the dervious lore mod page and read what each patch does, and keep the one you want.

some success with a new game, plugs refuse to remove despite no restraints, 

 

finding new restraint keys, which where missing in previous games, but still the  "take out, leave in, carry on" options that either loop or do nothing

Which plugs are they, and does using the "remove devices" option from the devious devices MCM, actually remove the plugs?

Looking at the mod list, you have DDa-3.0e.zip installed, which I think is redundant as it has been replaced by Devious Devices SE & VR 5.1.7z.

 

Also, you have Bandit Lines Expansion (LE) while using SE - install the right version for your game?

Regarding fnis, too many animations as I thought. Remove your existing fnis and replace it with fnis xxl (second download)

Going over your mod list again, remove this too: Devious Devices - Contraptions 1.5b.7z

 

It too has been replaced by Devious Devices SE & VR 5.1.7z.

You can increase your animation number DRASTICALLY with these tools:
  Animation Limit Crash Fix (Skyrim SE and LE), SSE Engine Fixes (Skyrim SE only)

As it says, you have too many animations installed. You are going to have to remove a good number of them until you get the ctd chance under 100 percent - you are currently are at 113 percent chance of a ctd!

In the end it is going to be your choice, think about how you want to play Skyrim and what the goal is for your character and go from there. You can always switch around animations and/or mods depending on the goal of your characters, as long as you have enough animations for variety's sake - but not too many to cause ctds.

 Since most of the DD animations are self constained, I’ll try to disable the Osex mods see if that makes a difference, 13% is a lot of ground to recover, especially since they where working before with no issue

I think theres a FNIS XXL that will let you go past the normal animation limits.

13 percent should be the minimium, while losing animations isn't great - it is better than ctds, so the lower you can get it without losing essential animations, the better.

ok game is opening again, now just need to find what plugins are missing and either restart them or disable entirely

Try and install it again and don't pick sos for any of the options, I guess nude males 0.4 is what you've chosen instead of sos?

all mods now functioning, occasional texture glitch and clipping though the bondage gear, occasional game crash but 95% effective is goo enough, mods now working at a acceptable level, thank you for you help it was very much appreciated, pretty sure now i have deactived so many pointless mods was why i was actually hitting the animation limit, with all the conflicts most animations wouldn't play.
