Basic setup questions regarding attractiveness and attributes

I'm obviously quite a beginner using this mod, and I'd like to get things "right" from the get go on a fresh playthrough. Relevant to this question I also have Big Dick Problems installed, but it at least seems compatible since the attributes from that mod are listed with WW attributes. The Pornstar Cock V5 is kind of also relevant, but more on that later..

 

My question is, when I fire up a fresh game/save, do I need to develop attractiveness preferences on all NPC sims and randomize all sim's wicked attributes?

 

When it comes to the attractiveness, I know there is a mention regarding this on the WW website, but to me this still doesn't make it clear. That may be entirely on me. Here's the quote:

In most cases, figuring out what fits isn’t necessary. Any Sim with a romantic partner will automatically adjust to be attracted to them. Sims with still alive parents will learn from their style and know its value. Others will try to fit with what is the most popular or just like whatever they are already into. But how does that work in practice? Do the sims keep changing their preferences all through the playthrough as they become attracted to more and more sims? And is this thing instantaneous once romantic attraction exists, so at the start of the game all couples have the attraction. The rest of the quote makes no sense to me, How do the other sims with no partner select what is most popular? Is it related to fame? And the last part, they just like what they already are into might refer to NPCs going with the vanilla settings. But if they already have a full table 20/20 of likes and dislikes, is there any mechanic in the mod to adjust that, even for NPC sims with a romantic partner.

 

And then to the wicked attributes, on that I found nothing, which might once again be on me entirely. I did try at the start of the game to remove all attributes from all sims, and it listed no attributes available to be removed. After I gave my sim some wicked attributes, the remove attributes from all sims list was populated by those. So I assume none of the NPC (other than the peeping sims) have any wicked stuff "by default" when starting a game. I assume I could randomize it for all and see what sort of a town of degenerates it creates. 

 

Is there a way to do this more elegantly though? Is there a way to do this so that it doesn't turn all the sims into sex crazed maniacs? Once I tried the randomization of attributes, and the game assigned over 1000 attributes to 100ish sims. I know random can do that, but somehow it feels a bit excessive.

 

Additionally, I suppose all the sims that pee standing also have the default penis from WW, and the Pornstar Cock penis selection only affects created sims. I can select whatever penis to go with whatever sim, one by one, but that isn't ideal either. And I suppose there is no way other than manual to link the size from Pornstar Cock to the DNA attribute from Big Dick Problems. 

 

If only I was a modder myself, I'd have my work cut out for me...

 

And last but not least, thank you for these amazing mods, I'm not ungrateful, they will make the game so much better as is already.

I'll just go through your questions from top to bottom and try to answer them as good as possible. I'm not an expert on all of these things, though, so my information may be incomplete.

Nope. You can do that, but attractiveness works on its own and the attributes are just a way of further customizing individual Sims.

From my experience with the attractiveness feature, preferences are fairly stable and will not randomly change all the time. I currently use the "simplified" version that works within the likes/dislikes system, but the "full-scale" feature in WW works seperate from that (and is actually older than likes/dislikes in the vanilla game).

Attractiveness tries to respect the choices that you make for your Sims and gives them a bit more of a personality when it comes to (sexual) relationships. They will not gradually become attracted to every other Sim in the world, but instead stick to what they like - and if they don't know what they like, they'll just stick to what is popular in your game world. If you have many Sims that like big breasts, new Sims are more likely to also develop this preference.

Both of your assumptions are correct.

Unfortunately, there is no elegant or "smart" way of assigning attributes to many Sims at once, AFAIK. You can either let the gods of random create a world of degenerate, sex-crazed maniacs or take the time and deal with Sims individually. However, most of the attributes are interesting only or mainly for played Sims anyway IMO, so I never really bothered too much with customizing all of those NPCs, unless I consider them to be "important" in some way.

All Sims that have a penis (the "pee standing" thing is outdated, but still supported, as of the latest version) get the default one in the beginning, but the Body Selector options for "All Sims like the one currently selected" and "Random Sims like the one currently selected" should affect all Sims in your game, regardless of whether they are created or pre-made, played or NPCs.

 

I haven't tried the Big Dick Problems mod in its currrent incarnation yet, but I suppose that support for penis models that come in different sizes could be an interesting feature, so maybe make a suggestion to the mod creator about it.

Thank you for the reply, it did clear quite a bit of the confusion for me. I did in the end just go with the random stuff.

 

And in the end, it seems, you can with perseverance go against even the strongest defenses NPC sims have. With the likes and dislikes it just takes a bit of time to get them to like you enough. Marital vows and relationships are seemingly less of a hurdle than some mismatch of preferences. And even hard NOs like abstinence can be worked around with a lot of time and RNG, just wait for them to make a move and accept their advances. And do to them "whatever you want for a few hours".

 

I did notice some odd penis resetting behavior when the Pornstar Cock somehow in some cases got overridden by the WW default despite Pornstar Cock being selected in the settings properly. I think all sex animations display only the default WW penis. Minor glitches that I hope will be eventually fixed.

 

Another thing about penises... With the Big Dick Problems there is additional racial aspect. Not a problem as such for WW and I might actually make a post there. In the end I suppose any sim could have the DNA for big dick, big black cock, small dick or size queen, and by the info I saw in the thread not all aspects of the DNA will not come through as an active trait. So the system exists already, and tuning/rationalizing it is something I hope will come with time. If there is a way to tie the skin color selection to some deciding mechanism about what big dick/cock trait comes through.

Unless you go in and actually set it up yourself, Big Dick Problems wont actually change your sims penises (there is a guide on how you'd go about giving every sim with the trait the proper model you want them to use if that is your preference), you'll have to do that manually. You can use the model for a micro-penis if you want, the mod will still assume the sim in question have a massive dong if you give them the trait. You can set it up so ALL sims with a penis is automatically assigned with your favourite, but what I do, since I'm a control freak, is manually assign penises as and if it becomes relevant, both for variety and to assign appropriate dongs that match the traits from, for example, Big Dick Problems.

I know it won't change them, I was merely dreaming about a way to tie in the penis size (actually visible) from one mod to a DNA attribute from another mod. And also bout tying the racial aspect of that mod to a correct skin color representation in the game.

 

I did see the option to select the penis to be used, hard/soft in the WW settings, if that is what you are referring to? It still didn't persist during the sex animations though.
