question about FONV body mods

Hi, I have, just recently run across this site, been perusing around, and am quite happy to find a place like this exists.

Got a question, if someone might be so kind as to offer some advice.

I did not mod FO3, or Skyrim (yet!)    I picked up a copy of FONV a while back on a steam sale, and when I ran across this site, I immediatly thought of it, and decided to mod it with some of the Sexout stuff, it looks very intrigueing, and is basically what I "wanted" to do with Oblivion.

So I've got the game running stable with all the utility and non adult mods that I care for so far, and am ready to add in the body/clothes mods.

But the last time I added mods to my games, it was Oblivion and Morrowind.  Back then, it seemed like there were only one or two body mods that were really popular, that became the "standards".  I have been looking around and for FONV, it seems like there are 20 different body mods!   I'm a bit overwhelmed, and just wondered if someone could give some helpful advice or opinions.   Everything I see, people say just look at the different ones, and choose which one you like best.   I do get that, but what is stumping me is what clothes are available for what body mods and what is the effect going to be of mixing and matching?

I'm not one to really be able to see the difference between various bodies.  What I'm most concerned with is a variety of clothes to pick from.   I had decided to start with the base dimonized type 3, then I see there are a bunch of type 3s, type 6s, BNBs, and then I was just looking today at the Type N in your download section, and really liked it.   Again, its all just a bit overwhelming as to which one to pick.

If I go with the Type N, bouncy version, in the downloads, am I restricted to the clothing files that are listed under it?

Any help, suggestions, advice, would be appreciated!

Well, if you want to use Sexout, you don't need any special body replacer, because it has the T6M included ( http://www.loverslab.com/topic/14296-sexoutng/ )

You can change the textures etc. to the very popular and imho very good looking "Beware Of Girl Type 3 " as described here ( http://www.loverslab.com/topic/7727-sexout-faq-read-this-to-get-started/ )

But Sexout seems to run with (nearly) every body replacer as long as you reinstal "astymma's compatibility skeleton". (As described in the second link)

I use the Type N from this side, because I like it. Some of the clothing switch to Type 3 if they change to the sexout pregnancy outfits, but I don't care. It still looks nice.

I had a similiar question a few weeks ago ( http://www.loverslab.com/topic/16522-body-replacer-for-sexout-recommendations-and-warnings/ )

And maybe we can get a workaround of "the pros and cons of the most popular FNV bodys for sexout" some day ;)

At last, I am sure, the more experienced uses and moders here can give more advices.

how clothing works is if the clothing is set up for type 6 body, for example, when you put it on your body will conform to the type 6, as clothing in this game has a body "in it", so to speak. So really the only time you see your custom body is when your butt naked. you can use any armor with any body type for the most part, but people seem to like to keep their body and clothes the same type so they don't shrink 3 breast sizes and grown an ass when they put gear on.

to sum it up no, if you went with type n your not restricted in armor, you can use whatever you want, but your body will conform to whatever body type the armor is made for as long as that armor is equipped.

Thank you for the quick replies!

Does the body in Sexout replace NPC bodies also?  or just yours?

Another question I have is-

I am thinking of adding in the mod  Spice of Life http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44476//?, which says it makes the NPCs have a variety of clothes.

In the requirements, it says

"============
Requirements
============

Fallout New Vegas patch: 1.4.0.525

Any Type3/Type6 Female Body: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34825

Robert Male Body: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39880

OR

Breezes New Vegas Males: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35451
Kendo 2's BIG BOY for Breeze Male: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46876"

So would Sexout take care of that requirment,or would I need to install one of the body mods first, then Sexout?

Sexout has breeze included, so make sure you use the breeze patch for spice of life. It isn't a bad idea to install the full breeze ontop though, as I think the sexout breeze doesn't include all the armor fixes.

That is correct at least for me. You can tell if the patches are not installed in a game when the arms have strange textures with clothes on and look great nude. (the body already installed with Sexout) With the patches the body should look exactly like the nude version.

The best start I guess would be to use the bodies already included with Sexout and go from there. Use the T6 and Breeze bodies and armors where ever possible. As you get better you can experiment with better textures and perhaps even tattoos for your character. :cool:  You can progress quite fast if you devote some time at research and experimentation. I say follow what is already in sexout if you use sexout because there are issue when combining various mods and body mods especially with male bodies. The whole limp verses erect. You want a boner when you decide to have sex but don't want one when you remove all the armor of the stinky raider that you just killed. :P .. Well at least I don't... :D

If you do this use the FOMM install function this will allow you to cleanly install and un-install most if not all mods you add and remove. With armor and bodies it usually is safe to add and remove mods. Keep in mind that it isn't always the case with other mods with scripts and such like sexout and even the mods that are used with sexout.
